Requiring 5 healers for dispel on 1st boss is a bit much.
Even with other ways (dwarf / mass / revival / etc) to dispel, you get into a bit of a locked position of dying if any healer dies and it goes on a group of people that cant self dispel.
Agree with the other commenter that requiring a rotation of 5 dispels (2-4 mass dispels or organized single target dispels) is really rough for a first boss. Especially in an addon-less world, I want to point out that dispel mechanics like this as a healer are tedious and unfun. It doesn’t test “reaction time” or decision making, there is no way to know which player each healer is targeting with dispel, which leads to overlapping dispels (cannot stress how obnoxious this is as a mechanic). Overlapping dispel for those who don’t heal means only one of you actually dispels and only one of your dispels goes on CD - however it still charges the other healer both mana and a GCD. That healer has to recognize that their dispel did NOT go on CD, and then cast again. And note that if you have 4-5 healers all doing this at the same time, you can overlap repeatedly. (No addon to help determine who dispels who, and communicating in situations like this boss where you need to dispel 5 players extremely quickly is not really an option)
The actual healing required itself was great fun though. Maybe just tone down the dispels to a total of 2 to break, 4 total, so you can actually communicate “we are dispelling Joe and Sally” or however you’d imagine it being handled in an addonless world.
And repeating - requiring 5 healers and/or 2-4 mass dispels (if you mass first set, ST dispel second you can get away with 2 priests I believe for mass CD to be back up the third set), is a little much for the first boss of this raid imo.
I like the notion of a tic tac toe boss. Felt chaotic but fun.
