FEEDBACK: Mists of Pandaria Class Changes

This is exactly the change that NEEDS to happen. Our 10m group is in discord tonight ready to quit.

Echoing what many others have said:

The Hunter sporebat change effectively only harms 10 man. Now the only classes that bring the haste buff are hybrid healer/caster DPS classes and many progression fights on 10 man will use 3 healers. You’re forcing some 10 mans to choose between 3 healing or 5% haste without allowing the hunter to compensate a swap.

Please consider reverting the Hunter change or allowing the three hybrid caster/healer classes to bring the buff with either of their spell casting specs (feel free to make it so feral/guardian/enhance don’t). Or at least reverting the change for 10 man only.

Other than the hunter change harming 10m comps, these are pretty solid changes.

Like others have said, I’d recommend making the spell haste buff class-wide.

wait how do you not have time to redo your roster… you have a month until mop

I am unsure why class balance was decided on so drastically and this close to launch. I personally feel class balance does not have a place in classic prog, as shown by the feral issues in wotlk, but if this was something that was wanted then why not just bring some low performers up? Nerfing established powerful classes is completely against the spirit of how classic prog has gone so far. This honestly should have been reviewed more and brought in front of the community before making such sweeping changes.

1000% agreed. just buff the other healers, seems crazy to not just elevate the underperformers

Hello adventurers. We have decided to not move forward with the Hunter Sporebat pet change and will revert it off of Beta tomorrow.

This is the first step in right direction. Thank you. Now look at DarthSurge’s post and follow it. It’s precisely what will make your player base happy.

These are top tier suggestions. Please revert the above and buff the needed classes.

So with Warlock getting glyph changes can we PLEASE get the changes to Glyph of Demon Hunting to make them viable in raid? The ability to taunt raid bosses, being uncritable, and being able to queue for content as tank (reverting Harvest life to be AoE would also be helpful). Please!

We’re in beta for a reason, they are bringing this to the community before going live.

Please keep in mind people practice, plan, and spend time learning classes months in advance of launches. Nerfing this late is going to always lose players happiness. We’re extremely deep into preparation hours already spent. Please just (buff) the other classes to be viable. I personally will have far less fun not being focused on Atonement. It’s the sole reason I played through Cata and had planned on through MoP. Leave this niche alone please.

this shows they clearly have no idea what they are doing

Introducing sweeping class changes for Mists of Pandaria that are expected to be changed from tier to tier feels out of step with the original spirit of Classic. Classic has always been on the last balance patch up until this point. One of the core appeals of Classic has always been its stability and predictability and significant class rebalancing disrupts that foundation.

A similar attempt was made during Wrath with changes to two specs, Retribution Paladins and Feral Druids, and the response from the Feral Druid community highlighted the risks involved. Two attempts to introduce nerfs came shortly after introducing buffs and the subsequent reversal of these nerfs following the backlash gave the impression of reactive rather than well-planned balancing. It raised valid concerns about whether the team is prepared to handle the complexity and nuance required for consistent and thoughtful class tuning.

Class balancing at this point opens up a complex and potentially divisive issue. It may be more prudent to leave this particular aspect of Classic untouched to preserve what many players value most: the integrity of the original raiding and class experience.

Please reconsider these changes and continue prioritizing what has always made Classic special.

PLEASE tinker with PvP!!!

No one enjoys a stale, already solved meta before the Expansion even releases. This killed TBC, Wrath, and Cata.

NS Cyclone and Insta Poly need to go. Mage and Rdruid will literally still be incredible without these tools that destroy the balance of the game.

Warriors probably need an ever so slight nerf to second wind. Like, a deft hand.

Few things like this, and MoP will be so dank.

Please get rid of the character size increase from Niuzao buff in Celestial dungeons. Having to click it off to fit through doorways in Strat/Scarlet (prolly others) is annoying.

I do not understand why you are nerfing the Shamans Healing Rain so drastically, Not only are you nerfing it by 25% but you are also nerfing the talent for it by 10 seconds. I am fine with the 10 second nerf but 25% really? How about buff the other healers to bring them closer to the Shaman instead of nerfing our main heal into the ground, granted its still strong but that big of a nerf will carry hard through the expansion and could displace shaman as time goes on, 10-15% would be a better place for a nerf than 25% please look into this change after this weekends nerfs.

As for Ancestral Guidance, the nerf to Guidance pretty much kills that talent for shaman healers, forcing healers to only pick conductivity. I thought the point in these talent trees was to give us some choice? Resto Shamans are very restricted on the choice for talents already, and now this talent is pretty much a dead talent now and will never be used. Please un-nerf this or at least reduce the nerf to it slightly, reducing it to 1/3 of its original power is just crazy, it would be better if it was at least 40% making it still useful for some situations and giving shamans the option to use something other than conductivity.

Additionally - the ancestral nerf is a big nerf to ele shaman for no reason. This talent nerf was completely unwarranted and just looks like a dev got trigger happy and kept firing after they were already sufficiently neutered.
