I have only had a very minor chance to play around with this new set before work to see how it interacts with our kit and sadly was left a little disappointed.
The set bonuses themselves seem fine for the most part, however when looking at it as a whole with the BDK kit it feels lacking as there is ZERO interation with our kit. You cannot build charges with DS cleave hits nor can you build bonus charges via DRW hits. Takes approx 40s to build up 10 stacks which gives 5%. The bonus dmg on the marrowrend hit highest i saw on 5target cleave was 387k (total) and the lowest was aaround 187k (total) considering DS cleave does more than this and i have seen a single critical deathstrike for well over 200k+ on live this feels very undertuned.
The bonus dmg cannot be copied by DRW which i guess was expected but for a tank that is so far behind the other tanks on dmg output, takes far more damage than the other tanks and can die in the blink of an eye it feels like a miss.
Since there has been ZERO BDK tuning so far it just feels like we are falling further behind and even though it would feel bad being propped up by a tier set atleast if it interacted with our cleaving strikes and DRW it would atleast give a nice dmg boost and make gameplay a little more interactive with the set which is pretty much just forget exists right now gives strength and small amount of bonus dmg yippee, oh i forgot about the BS charges (3 of) cause basically never have to worry about BS now so this feels wasted addition to the set.
Then there is the final question 5% strength 100% uptime after 40sec build up vs using it for 10% strength for 10 secs and having no bonus for another 40ish secs while you rebuild.
Im sure someone will come up with the best output scenario.
Anyway will do some more testing later but intial take is a bit underwhelming @Blizz let it interact with our kit and remember we actually exist and give us some lines of text in the next iteration….. BTW RNG apex talent has sucked from the start and continues to suck.
