FEEDBACK: Mechagon is fun, but Nazjatar is not fun šŸ‘Ž

The ilvl scaling is really bad and untested in both new zones. Scaling might be one of the worse ideas that we are stuck with until we get a new dev team to lead WoW. It is horrible to feel less powerful every patch.

I like that my grind doesn’t stop with my dailies in Nazjatar. Just like in Mechagon with spare parts and cells, I can farm drop quests and Algans for manapearls until my eyeballs bleed. My gear progression there is only held back by myself.

Whatever, not going to keep engaging in a pointless discussion about a topic that’s not relevant to the subject, I hope you get a chance to enjoy a nice vacation and actually get to see the bottom of the ocean sometime, it’s really pretty, I’m sure you’d like it.

Back on the subject. I mostly think the quest design in Nazjatar is indeed not great, the zone however, I find it amazing in terms of looks, terrain design and tuning of the enemies to present some challenge without being too overwhelming.

You just said it’s impossible for me to see the bottom of the ocean. It’s too dark.

Remember?

Oh, you meant the really pretty part I can see by holding my breath.

Yeah, I’ve been to Jamaica. It’s neat. It’s also not the bottom of the ocean.

The bottom is the bottom, no matter if it’s 150m or 20m.

No, the bottom of the ocean is the deepest point of the ocean. Hence the term ā€œbottom.ā€

The bottom of a canyon doesn’t change elevation.

The word you’re looking for is ā€œshallows.ā€

Sure, but this is a historic spot. What happened here is tragic and it is the first time my character has seen the ruins of a city that she’s read about.

I also enjoy the cut scenes tied to it, as well as the flavor characters in the area. All in all, I have multiple ways to connect to Nazjatar; Mechagon, not so much. The only gnome I have hated mechanical things so much she went w/out a mount until she could purchase a ram back in the day. (and wow what a slog )

See for me it’s just a place to point and laugh.

The zones don’t suck, the playerbase within a zone, does. For me, that is Mech.

You are welcome to. Regard for history is something not widely shared in RL, let alone when we move it to imaginary history.

Sorry you don’t enjoy the zone. I certainly don’t dislike Mechagon as much as you profess to dislike Nazjatar, so it seems this patch will be unfortunate for you.

Here’s hoping the next content release is more to your liking. That’s the upside to WoW - don’t like it, just wait and your turn will come.

Personally, I enjoy Nazjatar way more than Mechagon. I actually dislike going out there to work upon my reputation…

Meh, not if it’s Old Gods. I’m tolerating this story cycle to let Blizzard get all the C’thulu cliches out of their system.

Haha. On that we can agree.

Im actually enjoying both, But i will say i like Mechagon more. Its more engaging, and the world feels alive. I find myself exploring nooks for things and running all over the map for hours.

truth

nazjatar is an abomination, however

Its like as if the two zones were developed by different people  I personally love Mechagon and wish it was bigger, and with more quests. I’m hoping that the Gnomes blow up Nazjatar! However, I must say Naz is a tiny bit easier once I unlocked the flight whistle - I still die 3-6 times a day in that zone, I’m loosing money every day just on repair costs.

Dying due to falling off ledges in Naj is annoying. Thank god I have flying soon

With regards to Nazjatar (in particular), I was kinda disappointed with the zone from a ā€œloreā€ perspective…

What I was expecting: ā€œthe huge, sprawling, capital city of the Naga empireā€

What I actually saw: ā€œa bunch of random/scattered underwater ruins with a ā€˜wasteland’ feel to itā€ rather than the heart of an empire

Same thing happened with Argus to be honest, it was hyped up since forever (in quest text, in books, by Youtubers, etc) as this ā€œheart of the Burning Legionā€ where there would be millions of demons crawling all over the surface and thousands filling the skies. But the actual zones themselves seemed more like empty wastelands rather than the ā€œheadquartersā€ of the legion :joy:

It’s hard to describe this ā€œfeelingā€ of disappointment, but I think you get the point and I’m sure I’m not alone.

That’s what you get when you try to cram epic lore into the end of an expac because you don’t have any actual ideas.

I’m the opposite I can tolerate Naz but Mecha feels a nightmare with how question completion is working.
