lol I wish. Twilight was a huge billionaire dollar event. Remember the whole burger king hashtags #teamjacob and #teamedward.

Man, every women loved those movies and books.

Kalashtar are pretty dope lore wise.

Fungus Orks from 40k are pretty based too.

lol for my gunslinger smuggler, I mostly rocked with HK-51. Loved his dialog when healing things and I’m into tech that heals me as well. For Trooper, I rocked with M1-4X.

I have a thing for machines and tech

I would say I was also a big fan of the Sith but not the red skinned ones lol Lana Benko on the other hand is welcome to have me any day of the week

lol man I love the pure blooded sith, as a sith player that is the race I would pick over everything else. But yeah, Lana Benko is a babe, very pragmatic as a sith.

When I play jedi, I usually pick miraluka, the blindfolded race. The one without eyes. Like the whole idea of using the force to see.

When the group I played D&D with decided to give the Star Wars RPG a try my DM wasn’t thrilled with my choice, a Gamorrean. An alien race that hated technology in a world full of it. lol He grew to really like the character and I brought him back many years later when another friend started running a Star Wars campaign.

Setting-specific, Skaven easily.

I’m fighting the urge to just write paragraphs about multiple fantasy races I like, though. I’ll try to satiate myself by listing a bunch of races I like.

Duergar (name derived from Norse dvergr)
Shadar-kai (Elves from Forgotten Realms’ rendition of the Shadow Plane)
Goa’uld (Stargate, technically sci-fi, but with fantasy elements, parasitic species)
Gnolls (most tabletop renditions, though I trend away from the problematic ones)

The reason I placed Skaven above is that they occupy a space I adore - tons of potential pared back and kept in check almost exclusively by a fatal flaw. In Skaven’s case, greed. Their greed causes in-fighting and short-sighted thinking that is the only prevention for their rise to dominant species.

Jaghut and Forkul Assail from the Malazan series.

Just one flaw for the skaven? They’re like a roller dex of flaws. That’s why they’re so amusing.

They’re greedy, sure. They’re also cowardly, selfish, arrogant. Violent, of course. Naturally, everyone in the setting is violent, but they usually take pleasure in cruelty. Sadistic.

They’re cannibals. Not just of their enemies, but of their siblings, too. Any one or thing that stands still long enough is subject to a nibble.

Even the lowest skaven-slave thinks he’s the best, he just won’t say so aloud within earshot of higher-status skaven. Unless he finds himself in a position to stab them in the back and twist the knife. They’re also addicted to warpstone, like it’s a drug.

The gag is they are the dominant life-form on the planet. And the one time they stopped in-fighting and cooperated they literally ended the world  . They’re just the best.

Not one flaw that they have, just one flaw that is their ‘great filter’ so to speak.

Then I’d say it’s the one two combo of cowardice and greed. They want, they want. But they fear. Can’t go forward until you outnumber the enemy 1000 to one (and attack unannounced from the sewers while they’re sleeping).

They need to mass in numbers, but can’t trust the other clans with their backs. Heck they can’t trust their own subordinates with their backs.

They’re just so perfect.

Hm.

I’d counter with this; the cowardice on its own wouldn’t stop them. The combination of greed and cowardice is what makes them so paranoid, if you removed the greed, that cowardice would just make them cautious, and I don’t think they’re so cowardly that they would be too cautious to expand.

But I do take your meaning, and we agree. Skaven are perfect.

:rat: :green_square:

I haven’t played FF14 in forever but I love the Miqo’te.
I gave mine big werewolf ears and colored them to match her fur. She is a dancer with the prettiest mogs.
Don’t @ me.

i like vulcans and klingons from star trek a lot. one time i played vtm with some friends and the dm graciously allowed my character who was a malkavian who decided they wanted to re-watch star trek and since they didn’t need rest, he just sat and watched the entire series in one go and by the end of it decided he was not a man but a klingon and made the effort to cosplay and larp as one with the party. the ferengi are also fun and interesting
