Fat Albert
Tom and Jerry. The best ever.
Probably the 90s batman cartoon. And earlier than that TMNT, donât know how I forgot to mention that, I actually consumer wh*red over TMNT with action figures and everything.
Scooby Doo
reboot /10 chars
In no particular order or year:
Ducktales, Chip and Dales rescue rangers. Inspector Gadget, Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Mask, Cops, X-Men, Thundercats, Smurfs, Gummibears, TMNT, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Speed Racer.
Tennessee Tuxedo, Beanie and Cecil, Crusader Rabbit, Captain Kangaroo and the usual Bugs Bunny, Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound stuff.
There was also one called Spiral Zone that I loved.
Premise was a mad scientist dropped generators all over the world that turned people inside the zone they created into Zombies(not undead, more like mind controlled slaves but with lesions and messed up eyes and stuff). Most of the world was lost to it and the few remaining humans had to wear these special power armor suits to go into the zone for missions.
It was fairly dark/bleak for a kids show and I loved every minute of it.
The best till they added those void elf twins and their monkey
Popeye was good also.
Damn straight The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show, as it was called when I was watching.
Jason of Star Command, and Isis, although they werenât animated.
The original Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, before all the guest stars, and the original Space Ghost.
Honorable mention to Tarzan, the Blue Falcon & Dynomutt, and Herculoids.
Dexterâs Lab and Scooby doo
I was even a little boss back then
Dunno I have to disagree on that one given we were given Shifter and Downpour in Justice League Unlimited, even if just for an episode to introduce Cadmus. [though they looked more like pale drow in Bruce Timmâs art style]
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The original seriea from like. . 30 years ago.
My childhood didnât have a ton of âSaturdayâ morning cartoons, so Iâm going to alter the definition of âgrowing upâ and say that while I was still a young man my favorite cartoon was Futurama. I still hold it the utmost regard, one of my all-time favorite shows in general.
This. They still make me laugh today.

Being older than dirt, I also loved the original Jonny Quest. Race Bannon, Jonnyâs bodyguard, would kill the bad guys and not be shy about it. Venture Brothers fans should recognize the layout.
The best newer one I remember, not so much as âgrowing upâ but around the time I was 19/20 or so:
Fans of edgy animation and cartoon vice rejoiced this week, as the infamous 1987-1988 Saturday morning series âMighty Mouse: The New Adventuresâ finally hit DVD.
It was an EXCELLENT cartoon, redone and was pretty cool and fun.
It was, oddly enough, cancelled due to Mighty Mouse smelling a flower and getting an âapparent boostâ from it. Weird, in fact seemingly crazy, Parent groups suggested that he was sniffing a poppy derivative.
I donât know how they got that, since I was certainly not Naive at 19 or 20, yet I never drew such a connection. But, sadly, it was cancelled.
My current one, at the ripe age of 52, would be:
The Venture Bros.
Sadly, i just get OLDER AND OLDER since it takes them SO LONG between seasons.
Considering this is a gaming forum, Iâm surprised thereâs not a whole lot more japanese cartoon/anime mentioned.
Lets not forget Underdog. A super hero who became more âsuperâ after popping a pill he kept in his ring.
Space Battleship Yamato (AKA Starblazers in the US)
