Favorite Anime?

Ah man, Claymore… that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. -stares off into the distance of tatooine- a long time…

Yeah its like how people warn to not binge watch Bojack Horseman unless you’re like. In a good place mentally. Cuz otherwise its gonna be ROUGH lol

I say this as I watch Devilman Crybaby for the exact reason of just “i need to cry man but its stuck”

don’t get me wrong i like parts 1 and 2 but they aren’t really comparable to the rest of jojo. Its kinda like how dragon ball z is a show about big muscly dudes wrestling and shooting laser beams at each other while dragon ball is the show of not sun wukong going on vaguely perverted misadventures with some rich girl to grab the dragon balls for a silly wish.

It’s not new by any means, but rurouni kenshin has been a favorite I always fall back on when I hit the anime ‘lull’.

Fair fair. Parts 1 and 2 are a product of their time since the manga had a lot of the “character explaining what is happening as its happening” thing a lot of old manga had.

Part 2 is still so fun. Cmon listen to that intro

Going from part 1 to this was just “OH WE GROOOOOOOOOOVIN”

hah, actually listened to bloody stream the other day. I really loved part 2. The pillar men were all so cool and joseph was a really fun main character. A side story about what joseph was up to between parts 2 and 3 would be heckin cool to see.

Still think part 5 is my fav. Like don’t get me wrong. I love all of the series. There’s just something about part 5.

( Its totally not because of Risotto Nero. nah no nope not at all xp )

for me its a close tie between 4 and 5. so many whacky and memorable stand battles in those parts.

Start off with the original Dragon Ball then go forward. The original Dragon Ball isn’t so much focused on fighting (there is fighting scenes in it etc) but more along the journey of when Goku was a kid and the adventures he gets into.

RWBY (anime-adjacent if not quite fitting everyone’s definition of anime)

Ever since vol 9, every time I start doing daily quests instead of doing something else with my day, I think to myself “the paper pleasers need me! I can actually help them!”

Yeah. Kira is great as a villain. The fact he’s voiced by Wesker in the dub is a fun bonus XD

i didn’t know that! I’ve always watched subbed for the longest time.

Funny thing, i got to see dc douglas at a panel at youmacon a few years back. That was a fun time

Mmmmmm that voice is perfect for him XD

The dub for part 5 is great too. Freaking Diavolo is TERRIFYING because of Kellen Goff lol. Also Bruno is Ray Chase and that’s always fun

Haven’t seen any mentions of Golden Kamuy!

Great English dubs if you prefer dub. Excellent characters. More grounded than a lot of the over the top power fantasy stuff.

Saw a lot of posters for it in Hokkaido when I was shivering at the snow festival a few years back and checked it out. A+ anime.

I’ve been reading and watching One Piece for six years, but the anime is really slow at times…
I’d suggest Jojo, it’s Bizarre but that’s the best part! I swear it’ll have you laughing, crying and panicking, and sometimes all at once. I just got into the series cuz I thought Ermes was Hot! Boy I’m glad she lured me in!
Oh and I started OP for Nami and Robin…
Baki I just started cuz I saw the Pickle Arc Trailer and I was like “The Heck is this?”

I just started watching One Piece. What have I done? Please help me!

Star Blazers…watched that as a kid in the 70s.

The only anime shows I liked were Bo-Bo-Bo and Pokémon.

It’s impossible for me to have a favorite, however if I had to choose it would be Inuyasha. It has my favorite anime girl, Kagome.

Ah! My Goddess and The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
