Fastest way to 30 from 24

THIS is the part that kills me as a healer in Classic. The interrupters who refuse to interrupt. As a restoration shaman in retail (with arguably the best interrupt in the entire game), I cannot abide people who act like that interrupt button isn’t a priority. Nobody gives a rip about your freaking DPS number if everyone’s dead because you let a heal or an AoE go off.

When that shadow bolt volley goes out three times in a row because nobody bothered to kick it…I see red. I have to burn my cooldown for a party heal that never should have been necessary, and if the tank takes a crit to the face later in the fight, that cooldown–which should be there for me to save him–is down, now.

Use your freaking kicks. Mages figured it out. Mages have been the most reliable interrupters in the game, from my own personal experience. They use that counterspell on cooldown every time. Rogues have like a 9-second cooldown, right? It’s super short compared to everyone else’s interrupt. I really want to be group leader and boot out every single rogue who doesn’t interrupt. IT’S THE REASON YOU’RE HERE! Do it.

ROGUES—your kick is why we bring you. USE IT.

If you have an interrupt and it isn’t one of your most accessible and frequently-used keybinds…get out of my dungeon.

Fastest way - Focus on green quests (bread & butter) as mobs will be easier kills & less down time. To & from quest points in between kill every mob you see. Learn to kite kill (take mob A attack and backpedal/strife pull in between attacks towards mob B). Team up with a healer & just zerg everything you see!
Dungeons are a good filler especially if you’re lacking on gear…being a warrior you’re very gear dependant. Dungeon XP is great with a good group but icing on the cake is to make sure you have as many quests for that dungeon as possible.

Hillsbrad has decent quests to help you level. I’d recommend not playing there during prime hours though unless you want to be ganked

Thank you all!

You should be able to hop around Hillsbrad, Stonetalon, Southern Barrens, Ashenvale, and 1k Needles doing quests as they turn green.

Fastest way is to play the game, rather than post on the forums.

Cant play at work home slice

Fair call. Sorry, I didn’t mean to be a smartarse. Just that I do see people in game and on here, asking for the most optimal way to level, when often the answer is simply “have the discipline to actually do it”.

Not the case here I see!

In my experience dungeon grinding is rarely the fastest way to go, though it’s always worth doing each one once to get the XP from all the quests at the same time. Generally, if you’re in a hurry, you want to do a mix of questing and world grinding, ignoring distractions like gathering, professions, other people, etc. Though of course having a leveling partner or whatever can of course help tremendously.

In your case though, if you do have the goal of getting tanking experience at the same time, by all means just grind those dungeons. There’s no better way to do that!

Thank you very much

SFK sucks at that level and RFK is too hard, the best way is to just quest

I think I did Ashenvale at 24 to 28, go to the left side coast not the right side demonic areas

You can quite easily clear 2-3hrs a level in that range just grinding.

My preferred spots as Horde for that range are

Bael Modan- Southern Barrens until 26

The centaurs just north of Freewind post-1k needles until ~28

The centaurs in the cave, by the ^ centuars until 30 and/or SM/GY spam

Oh… and since you’re a warrior… try and get into RFK runs 27-30 until you get the corpsemaker axe.

Thank you very much!

Prot really doesn’t bring anything to the table until 40 for tanking. Prot tree is mostly garbage.

Prot during early levels is terrible. Low rage generation leads to a lack of threat generation. Warrior prot spec is low damage at low levels as well. It’s not really good to be prot spec prior to level 50 due to these reasons. Arms or fury specs are actually better at tanking due to those specs being a lot better at generating rage which in turn aids in generating threat. Also, being prot spec early on means you won’t have tactical mastery which means you go to zero rage when changing stances.
