Is it still Arcane Mage? Or has that changed ever since Chrono Shift (rip) was removed?
My Demon hunter and Warlock have gotten through them the fastest, followed by dracthyr evoker and worgen death knight. I haven’t used my mage much but he was def the slowest of the bunch
I tried doing ICC on my DH last night, not sure I liked it. I was not expecting DK to be ln the list tbh lol.
Same. I emphasise its a Worgen DK because that way Im able to juggle the 2 stacks of that rush spell, and the worgens speed racial ability
DH with its good movement speed passively and actives is probably the best.
I like rogue to skip trash
This is an important point. If we are talking about one person raiding old content with no challenge for transmogs take in out trash is optional. Rouges are not good for taking out trash rapidly. For those that want to do that, there are more AoE capable options. But also, take range in count. I noticed this yesterday with an evoker in Tempest Keep yesterday. The evokers abilities are powerful but slow. Some mode simply moved away when I was charging up an attack. A quick long-range ability is needed. Perhaps there is one, I need to look around for a possible ability for that.
Worgen druid is pretty quick. Several movement speed enhancers, most specs have decent aoe for downing packs plus ranged abilities and healing for bosses that require it, stealth for skipping. Shaman is also fast and offers everything druid has save for stealth.
I was surprised running on Piddy with Burning Rush full ablaze that when I kill some trash, I get significant heals. Dunno where that’s coming from, but it motivates me to take a few stabs at packs and I run by.
I do pretty well with my MM hunter that has a good speed and multi-shot for clearing groups of trash out of the way.
Still mages. By far
Assuming you’re one shotting everything, probably mage for the ability to portal (Vulpera mage for that hearthstone and camp teleport op). They have some movement in blink/shimmer and alter time with a cancelaura macro. Just make sure to enchant all speed and meta gem for speed.
any class using a speed set but a class that can also run faster does make it easier
Dh
Monk
Druid
Are you farming non-lock out instances like stratholme for baron mount?
If so, Druid and monk can teleport out and then directly to the instance entrance for quick resets so they pull ahead in that scenario
Druid. The answer is always Druid.
Druid has a ton of mobility. They have two instant-cast nukes and one of them even has an AoE DoT it applies.
I cant believe people are saying anything but Druid. You can even make a whole talent build made for farming legacy content. It’s the fastest class.
If you’re oneshotting everything then any speedy + spammable AOE works. Lock, shaman, hunter and all leather classes all get constant movement speed increases + various boosts.
Just don’t take a priest/paladin.
DH has more mobility than Druid, especially vengeance.
And immo aura kills everything you walk past.
DH has great mobility but… Druids also have an extra hearthstone in the form of Moonglade. Any content that allows for mount form gives druid an edge.
I have both. I prefer Druid. Mostly Moonfire and Sunfire are 100% uptime, ranged, and instant. You can also get the talent for Feral and make it so you can cast Moonfire from Catform.
But there’s obviously an argument to be made for DH because of Glide.
Yeah I mentioned that.
But for mount farming, that is a very limited scenario.
Most mounts are in heroic dungeons (daily lockouts) mythic dungeons (weekly lockout) or raids (weekly lockout).
Other than baron Rivendare mount, I can’t think of another normal dungeon lockout.
Either way, this event is about throwing as many alts at every lockout as possible, so I say whatever you have that can clear the dungeon fastest is best.
Everyone sleeping on the hunter with trailblazing, 30% speed buff when not in combat. With all the traveling in instances, I’d rate it as #1.
