Does 50% rep bonus benefit on-use rep Insignias?
Idk but you can just buy mop rep tokens with timewalking badges if you have extras.

I need shadopan for the head mog. I don’t think its on there.
The mop timewalking vendor sells shado-pan assault tokens which give 300 rep with shado-pan is that what you need?
But either way, if you already have a bunch of rep tokens saved and don’t mind waiting for the next MOP timewalking event to see if they give bonus rep, might as well save them and try.

I am 75% sure the buff does not affect insignias. The buff states “a 50% bonus to all reputation gains earned from quests and creature kills”.
Insignias shouldnt count as either.
On the wowhead page, in the comments, there is a list of all the different rep buffs you can use to increase the rep you get.
One I remember is the Darkmoon Faire buff
