What I like about FF is that at the end of a dungeon you can give players a commendation, and if they amass a good amount of them, they can unlock cosmetic rewards.
And I guess they have (Can’t be sure here) people that can volunteer to go to a dungeon with you? No idea, but the commendation points would be great for WoW, a motivation for people to not be toxic at least.
lol trying to bring up vulperan to defend furries in FFXIV is like trying to bring up gnomes to defend the Falafel.
You’ve been out of straws to desperately grasp at for years with that game. Sorry that doesn’t work. It’s way way way 100x weirder. It’s so weird that desperately clinging to ‘b…bu…but…but…uhh…vulperan??’ reflects poorly on you. you like weird abnormal things. Just embrace it
All I did was mention it, not “put it on a pedestal.”
The objective facts are that FFXIV has more content, grindy or otherwise. Not to mention Shadowlands isn’t Grindy? Okay. lol
Shadowbringers has been out for two years ago in July, and with every major content patch has added multiple levels of raid content, trials and yes that “dreaded story” content. As well as multiple new areas, and relic weapons.
Just because all you did was stand around an FC house waiting for roulettes, doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty of content.
sure friend, whatever you say. I am not even comparing it to WoW, you do. I am just stating the mediocre parts of ff14, like dungeons for example or the non-existent PvP. Do you want to grind the most convoluted story-MSQ for 3 months and then install Gshade and take glamor shots for your FC RP discord while you write poems be my guest.
Considering I don’t even know what “Gshade” is, it’s SUPER interesting that you’d be the one to project it onto me.
What is your point? You made the claim:
Is not the same thing as:
Of course FFXIV has things that aren’t the most exciting gameplay experience of all time, but saying that the only thing to do is sit around an FC and wait for roulettes is disingenuous.
You deserve the take off brother hope WoW becomes a better game fo the point we can meet again in game. If not hopefully I’ll meet whatever Catboi you make
Better learn to bow down to Asmongold as that is the only way to avoid a ban there is to stay in his favor and WHATEVER you do not NOT criticize the game in ANY way.
After 12 years, I’m also hanging up my WoW hat. Also a 15 year Diablo 2 Veteran, which I will be playing D2R on release (Sep 23rd), along with New World (Sep 28th) which I’ve played the BETA and having New World withdrawals right now lol. New World is a very refreshing new MMO that kept me engaged with gameplay for 12+ hrs on most days. I played every single day for a solid week during the NW BETA. I haven’t felt like or played like that since I joined WoW during WoTLK in 2009. Wrath really lit the spark to keep the fire burning. I happily wasted my life for Wrath and beyond. No regrets playing WoW, it’s just…time. I feel it with this expansion mainly, very daunting and heavily systematic. I gave BFA my all, every last bit of my moral fiber. Achieved AOTC twice and BFA KSM. Very proud of my “pride and accomplishments” despite how grindy and systematic BFA was towards the end of the expansion. I had A L O T of GREAT memories with family and friends who’ve played with me over the years, but, with Shadowlands, it’s just not giving me the fire that once burned inside me. My passion, my enthusiasm and my grit has withered away. Sure, I have a bit over a month’s time before my sub ends. I mainly want to finish up the campaign and then some before my sub ends. Will I be gone forever? Probably not. I may not play beyond Shadowlands 9.1 since my main interest is what happens to Sylvanas. I love WoW with all my heart, I really do, it’s just tiresome at this point. I don’t blame players for leaving a MMO they’ve poured their heart and passion into or despite what the current situation they may have with Blizzard, it all comes down to personal choice. And this is my choice, the game is 100% the reason why I’ve decided to end my sub. My Warrior is my main, really wasn’t into raiding, mainly M+ which I’ve reached a 1840 WoW Score, good enough to “me” for Valor 246 upgrades. Trying to go “above and beyond” in Shadowlands just wasn’t in the cards for me.
It’s been a LONG journey for us that have been there either from the start of just a few years to longevity of years leading up to now. Not every MMO will keep that fire burning inside for everyone. I’m very surprised I stayed this long despite IRL commitments over the 12 years I’ve played and enjoyed WoW. It’s been a real trip World of Warcraft, thank you for the good and bad times, no regrets!
