At the alpha/beta of TWW it was thread after thread of “Give steady flight at the beginning not just dragon flight!” and those people brought up all the poor, imaginary disabled people who couldn’t use dragon flight and invented stories about how they could barely lift a finger to feed themselves, but somehow play a game like WoW, and everything would be perfect if they could just have steady flight on day one.
I’m just personally over it. And I don’t believe anyone when it comes to anonymous accounts saying stuff that cannot be ascertained as truth or fiction.
I have no reason to. I can’t verify anything they’re saying, so there’s no point in believing them.
If they don’t re-evaluate their stance on nuking everything, I don’t think it will. Not unless they somehow catch up to what we have available on live right now in 4~5 months. Their CD Tracker alone needs a whole lot of work.
Most players only care about themselves and their own gripes in this game. I guarantee you someone bemoaning their loss of add-ons has also told me or others to ‘suck it up’ on these forums in one way or another when I felt I had a legitimate complaint. So excuse me if I’m not weeping for the add-onless.
It will get fixed one way or another, or smooth out in the end.
Good game devs try to make accessibility options for the widest range of players, or allow tools that give the widest range of players the ability to play.
We do. WA is dead in the water, and so is any addon that could replace it.
Players will be unable to even do silly stuff like make a little bunny dance when they hit a resource spender.
First off, I’m one of them and None of my post are about people how have problems. I make macros for the Deaf people in my guild so I can spam warnings while talking on disc.
I am 100000000000000000% behind people with issues having a way to play. I WANT and just about demand that Blizzard make things in game for people with Disabilities to be able to play. the OBR has allowed my mom (Who has been playing for 20 years now and survived cancer 3 times) to be able to play again. (radiation did a number on her in more than one way) She loves to go around, quest, Herb, fish, find new pets, do some light dungeons and normal raiding. Blizzard is putting these things in the game slowly but they are getting there.
What I am personally go on about is the number of people who use addons to play the game for them. Learn to play or use the OBR.
People like you who hide behind people with Disabilities trying to save your addons is just wrong.
I think this is the heart of the problem. To some, the concerns might feel real and legitimate, while those same concerns might feel completely unwarranted to others.
Certainly it’s possible that people are trolling, but it’s hard to have such polarizing views as “The sky is falling” and “The world is getting better” in the same thread without either side thinking the other doesn’t have “real and legitimate” concerns.
A single person doesn’t mass report. I think that’s a good thing to keep in mind.
Anyway, I’m pretty hopeful that the changes coming with Midnight class pruning will be enjoyable.
That and the other high correlation is people with just tens of thousands of posts. I’ve become an expert at just ignoring them. They don’t contribute and wind up (because it shows you when you mouseover their profile right before ignore) having like a dozen posts in a single topic full of meaningless passive aggrssive or toxic nonsense.
Your comment itself is the definition of polarizing when most of the threads here are ok with the removal of computational WAs and combat addons, while asking for non-computational WAs and non-combat addons to remain untouched.
I dont care what you do in Goldshire Raven, I am all ever accepting,
just remove all UI and combat addons except details mkay?
I wanna see real IO of people, not when cheats playing it for them.
maybe if 95% of the add on topics werent over dramatic childish doom and gloom rants that the same people making those topics have made similar topics every single time a change happens in the game people might take it more seriously.
also again maybe if 95% of able bodied people werent latching onto the accessibility side to hide their actual argument “you are literally weaponizing a disability you dont have to get something you want thats unrelated.” people wouldn’t troll the toxic fake activism either.
there are legit accessibility concerns but 90% of the people crying behind that argument dont have accessibility concerns but have made that their entire argument because poor baby doesnt want to lose their weak aura crutch.
the responses are appropriate. mr cries 24/7 on the forums suddenly concerned about accessibility is not the beacon of accessibility access the crybabies are pretending to be. there are literal organizations that works with companies like microsoft and blizzard to handle accesibility concerns
