I think most people who have the seed pouch have looted the flamescythe at least a dozen times.
Your best bet is to get the scythe and just pretend the toy doesn’t exist.
Not for purposes of druid form transmog, afaik.
Sure. I’m sure my Druid has looted it a bunch as well. So I guess my question needs to be revised.
Will the appearance unlock only for those who currently have the physical staff on them? Will the appearance unlock only after you loot the staff again after the Shadowlands changes go live? That way the game will recognize that you’ve now earned the appearance of the transformation?
Ie. Will the game retroactively give me the kitty appearance for having looted the staff in the past, or will I have to loot the staff again for the game to recognize the appearance?
From what I understand, you get the appearance if you have the either version of the flamescythe in your wardrobe, you don’t need the physical item on you.
EDIT: Just made a druid on the beta to check, they had access to the flame kitty with the weapon in their wardrobe.

Sparkle kitty? What did I miss? Are you talking the mage tower? (If so, what color do you like? If not, is there another toy you’re referencing?)
Mage tower appearance. I have blue and pink unlocked. But as a guardian, I was unable to use them.

Yeah, they’re really nice. I’m a big fan of Autumn (fall) so I’m partial to those colors myself. I really like the pink/orange coloring for that skin.
I never got the mage tower skins on my Druid unfortunately. I have pretty well all the other ones. (Except the higher pvp ones.) but I choose to use the orange/autumn colored tree/bark skin. Pretty sure it’s just the standard artifact upgrade appearance.
But I like it.

Very nice. I do like the highlighter bear skin. I personally switch between the green and blue ones.
I got the purple one last season, but don’t really like it.
Whenever I’m tanking a dungeon I’ll use a reflecting prism to change everyone into different druid forms. I try to match them to their class. (Rogues become cats, casters become trees, plate wearers become bears ECT…) Some people love it, and others hate it.
I have the staff and for some reason i can’t use the fire cat option at the barber =(
No… Not everyone wants to be so hot all the time. The toy allows you to get hot for parties and other events.
