Have you heard about my friend, Johnson? Ask Cass of Cassidy Caravans
Only decent comment so far.
Because I can be and I enjoy the show and Fallout in general. I also don’t recall having some sort of history with you, so that’s interesting.
Yea that’s his character. That’s why he’s so entertaining you’re supposed to not like him than have him grow on you
His whole thing is failing upward, so I’m curious to see what they do with him in season 2.
Max definitely had Idiot Savant going.
Not everyone reacts to stress in the same way. Remember Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13? One of their oxygen tanks blew up when they were on the way to the moon.
That could have meant instant death but his response was “Ah, Houston, we’ve had a problem. We’ve had a Main B Bus Undervolt”. He then went on to read off circuit breaker settings.
I liked the whole failing upward thing about him, reminded me of Nelson Bighetti aka Big Head from Silicon Valley.
They say the NCR got nuked in 2277 but that’s wrong because Shady Sands and the NCR still existed in 2281, when Fallout New Vegas takes place?
Yes, live actions often have to fudge the strict lore for the sake of making a tv show.
It happens.
I am ok with it. It keeps the spirit.
It really doesn’t because it changes things up too much so events that happened to make the spirit what it was didn’t happen in the show, thus losing the spirit after all.
Like House age is wrong? Would he even be at that meeting, was he like some withered up nasty thing in his little “clean room” pod? And if he’s actually alive still, New Vegas should be prospering?
In the interview they did with IGN, Todd Howard said “The Fall of Shady Sands” and the nuke were two separate events, so although they are threading the timeline with a needle, both the show and New Vegas are still canon.
Again, according to Todd. That’s not my take.
Ask how that worked out for Witcher? Halo? Cowboy Bebop?
There was no date given on the nuking of Shady Sands either, leaving room for interpretation.
Todd is not someone anyone should believe without some salt added in. lol. I think even Todd Howard could give the Devil a run for his money on the whole “Lord of Lies” thing.
Considering the ending of the Season 1, it is possible to assume that the thing that is achieved may have spurred a growth that could have followed into NV. Then again, I am not 100% on any of the year dates because I’ve only played 1, 2, 3, and 4.
I would love for you to expand on this.
You know what. You are right.
I can no longer, in good conscious, watch Fallout the tv show anymore because House’s age is potentially wrong.
I just cant. Its horrible. The lore has been destroyed. How can I enjoy the show, then play Fallout 4 and still look at myself in the mirror if they got his age wrong.
That is comparing apples to nuclear fusion.
2 out of 3 of those shows were created without the fans in mind. Cowboy Bebop just didn’t land well enough by Netflix’s standards and it didn’t make that much of a splash anyway. The creators of Halo and Witcher wanted to make their own story, characters, locations and lore be damned.
Fallout always has had that vibe with its game. It’s always had the comedy style. It’s always felt like a syfy show. And the show feels like it belongs on the syfy channel in all the best ways besides being underfunded. I’m glad people with these kind of takes like yours aren’t in charge of anything fallout related. Trying to say fallout 76 has better character development when they didn’t even have characters for two plus years it was just all robots or computer terminals you interacted with. And even now it’s still not pieced Into the game well. You are either clearly trolling or have horrible taste idk which
They go to new Vegas next kek
