Fallen Charger Update

I was about 8 kills before the hotfix went out. First group I joined after the fix it dropped, and at least 10 others in group also got it.

I agree that it wasn’t really necessary. I was seeing 2-3 drops in each 25-30 man raid each attempt. That’s a lot higher than most mounts.

Do you have the mount? Just out of curiosity.

Timelost Protodrake is a gauranteed drop. Be weird if a Blizzard employee claims they were remaking the Timelost Protodrake idea and then make it not a 100% drop rate, that would be quite ridiculous for a company to do.

Meh, I would have said it didn’t need to be fixed even if I didn’t have it yet. I’m no stranger to farming way harder mounts.

Like I said. They only ever said that’s how they intended it to be initially, not that it was how they actually implemented it.

Could you, perhaps, remove the faction tag from the rare relic guy in Korthia? You know the one - that Diablo goblin thing that hops through a portal after 10 feet.

Kinda weird to make that statement then. Thats like me saying to my boss I originally planned on writing this report with all the quotas in place, but then I decided not too. So here are some numbers I wrote on some napkins. There’s a 30% change I didnt wipe my face on it.

No, I don’t have it and it’s not from a lack of trying.

Good thing I already got the mount when it was farmable.

I don’t want to repost what i already explained earlier. You can read what i posted earlier in the thread to see where i got 28 attempts from. Or look up Geometric distribution.

Wouldn’t this be good news then? Because I’ve been trying, too, and I think that it is okay to make a rare mount a little more accessible, right?

No, I think the game is better with rare items.

That’s sort of my point. Limited spawn spots, frequent respawns, no weekly lockout … ok you can justify a < 1% drop chance.

Spawning all over the place and a weekly lockout - it would be absurd to have a < 1%.

I am not a fan of < 1% mounts in general. After around 1k kills on the MoP world bosses, I just gave up. It is an absolute waste of time, for a mount I likely won’t use, just to increment my mount collection by 1.

I guess we’ll just agree to disagree. Took me 211 kills on Invincible and I didn’t find that engaging content. I think the game benefits from rewarding people things they seek rather than having a prestigious loot system that only few players benefit from.

Blizzard should use the system like FF where you get some currency when farming mounts and you can eventually buy it if your “rng” is awful.

I agree. Apex Legends, I believe, has that system where if something has a 1% chance, you may get it early. But after 100 kills, you’ll get it regardless.

Well, this is all well and good, but nobody seems to be listing Fallen Charger groups anymore which is making it a pain for me to get my daily kill.

If you’re going to make a daily kill, why not just increase the spawn rate so it works like the other daily kill rares…
