I recall a leak that said that Blizzard was concerned about players leaving Shadowlands but didn’t know why. I’m guessing that part was correct.

To be fair on that, we can tell allot of content has been cut in SL and a clear part of that cut content is Helya. She was set up in the intro quest and never seen again

Helya is always being disregarded lol. I wasn’t surprised she was only there for Thrall to randomly throw his ax for no reason at.

There’s a thread on mmo champ that’s dated during BC that was a leak thread about the next xpac (Wrath) and it was 100 percent right on the nose. It’s funny reading the follow up replies like “fake” and “no way we are fighting Arthas already” lol

I genuinely think the recent “leak” or the 1 from Feb with the name Dragonflgiht literally just got lucky and only called it that. That same leak said we’d have seen the announcement at the end of Feb which sort of discredits that leak as being possible other than the name itself.

Shadowlands had the same thing, tons of leaks about it and not one thing was correct other than the name itself.

These leaks have been going on since classic. What is more concerning/astounding is just how many people blindly trust these leaks and start talking about them as if they’re official.

There’s even files for the beginnings of these things in the WoD alpha builds. There’s several YouTube videos on the subject, with the best probably being those by Hayven (RIP).
