Faith in Warcraft

I’m glad you found a way through your struggles, OP. I hope you’re doing well.

I’m not a man of faith. But I have found great support from fellow wow players. Not in game, but here on the forums. I was in a car accident last year and during my time in hospital the forums were a great connection to the world, and folks were very generous with their care and support. It truly helped me.

I hope your recovery went well. It really is amazing how the relationships we develop online can impact our lives.

My self-esteem and confidence took a huge hit after a relationship with someone who had Borderline Personality Disorder. I was a wreck for years and therapy wasn’t working.

I joined a good guild and playing with them restored all that lost faith in myself. I am now able to speak up more on behalf of myself IRL and take more intitiative. Coming together with others to beat in-game challenges was the therapy I needed.

Paragraphs. Please.

God himself really does nothing. You changed your life on your own. You found your own inner strength.

i met a married mother of four on WoW back before TBC came out and we knocked boots irl so that was pretty cool

The post was a positive message and I had no problems reading it.

Read or don’t read it. There’s no need to be rude.

That’s the experience I had with Christianity. I recently went through a terrible loss, but I felt accepted and loved by the community of my church, the priests and the elderly. I have a family ofc, and I’m very close to them, but I also see the Church as my family. I am very proud of my faith in the Lord and honestly I am forever grateful for the existence of the Church. They helped me face the pain of loss. Rereading the Gospel also helped me.

Community. I think that’s one word that encapsulates the beauty of the Church. You feel like you belong to a group, and that you never feel alone, because the community is there to help you.

Probably a wise decision they didn’t use paragraphs honestly.

You use paragraphs or punctuation on the forums and the illiterates start screeching “AI” or “ChatGPT!” at you. lol

I feel your pain and sorry you had to go through that. A person I caregive for has BPD and bipolar 1. Before we were able to get her the help she needed, it was a nightmare. It took a few years of counseling and medications to help turn her around into someone with empathy and compassion.

We were lucky, a lot of people who suffer from it, never see that they are the ones with the problem and not everyone else around them.

Faith is often seen as the belief itself, while trust is the action or conscious choice taken based on that belief.
Faith often operates without tangible proof. Trust is often built on experience, evidence, and proven reliability over time.

So faith in blizz is silly as we have seen for 20 years its track record. Thus also one should not even have trust in them either.

Edit: oh you mean literal faith thats nice and Im happy for you… I however do not find myself drawn to any religion and when I get close I tend to look at reality and how horrible its become. I think most do it out of fear or for community.
