Faerlina (realm questions)

I want to play a highly populated realm that is “alliance friendly”! I’d greatly appreciate any answers/advice from anyone playing on Faerlina!

  1. Census says Faerlina is nearly 50:50 in balance. Alliance has a 5% favor. Does this sound right to you, or are you seeing much more horde than alliance? I don’t want to play a realm that is horde property.

  2. I hear the majority of streamers are horde. Do you feel the PvP is balanced still, or has this caused an issue?

Thanks! Really appreciate the help. Looking for anyone from Faerlina to help

Pretty even, Horde is pretty toxic here though from what I can tell

Sadly, I feel trash talk comes natural where PvP is involved.

I am almost at a coin toss between restarting at Blaumeux OR Faerlina. Do you think Faerlina is a safe bet? You definitely feel certain the faction PvP is balanced, and alliance has a small favor numbers wise?

Thanks so much. Really appreciate advice from a level 60 on Faerlina! Congrats :grin:

Faerlina’s problem is the queue time tho.

I’d say its pretty balanced. Have been in a lot of scuffles throughout the world since release. You’ll be running for your life from 4 horde and then all of a sudden 5 alliance jump off their mounts and a war starts with alliance typically winning. Its a good server but do not join a streamer guild. They are terrible and only care about gearing up the streamer and his friends.

Faerlina seems to be the most populated realm. I am 100% happy with queue times. It will be a headache and something I have to plan around, but it also means the realm will certainly never die out.

Happy to wait as long as there is a good faction balance

Herod is the most populated realm.

Asmon is Ally so Don’t worry

Thanks so much. I am aware of “whaling”, especially gearing up streamer idols to be noticed by them. I’d avoid all that mess

I think Faerlina it is. Blaumeux is slightly better balanced for me, but less populated. I am hearing a lot of good things about Faerlina

Time to restart my 29 mage and bank… but for a good cause! :frowning:

I’m here if you ever need help with something. Just message this toon.

Thank you, Laruya! I am very sad Whitemane feels like horde property. I spent at least 100 hours on “Joy”, and now I lose all those hours as well as my awesome name.

I made a back-up on day-1 in Faerlina. Feel free to add her: “Esporova”

I am sometimes busy working on med school, but when I’m online I take leveling very seriously. I hope to catch up so we can play, or at least learn from you.

THANKS :heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

You’ll get about 2-3 years. Because that’s how long asmon said he’d probably get bored. Not being pessimistic, I have no issue with him. It’s just what happens when a streamer leaves.

I feel fairly confident that Blizzard will eventually want paid transfers. It might not be any day soon, but there is a undeniably a disgusting amount of money to be made should they do. If so I have a back-up plan if anything goes wrong…

That said, 2-3 years is fine by me :stuck_out_tongue:

I think they will too. But, that can kill servers. People will always take the easy route, if they can. And, transfer to the server their faction appears to win more often, causing imbalance. I think it would be best if they gave free high faction transfers on high pop servers to low faction on low pop servers.

Interestingly, my experience has been that the Alliance are the mean ones. I guess it’s easier to see when your own faction can’t kill you.

It will probably die out temporarily when new patch/expansion comes out as the herds follow their streamers

Enjoying Faerlina, but tons of early game struggle. Will have to work on grinding professions AGAIN :<

Horde side is extremely toxic.
Faerlina still has some pretty sizable que times at peak hours.
When people talk about classic being “to meta” like cleave groups and what not they’re talking about servers like Fae.

The auction house on horde side is pretty decent though.

How do you feel about alliance side of things? I just began and am on alliance not horde. I mainly am concerned about balance.

Working on professions now. Can’t afford anything until I get these to 225 again :stuck_out_tongue:

this is a toxic awful server.

Queues at peak are 2-6 hours depending on the time and day.
Alliance and horde are fairly balanced though, but many of us took the free transfer to get off that place.
The server gets DDOSd / crashes / etc

If you manage to get through that long queue you will be greeted with ganking and hours long camping of quest hubs by the opposite faction because level 60s dont have much to do right now.

Edit: Since moving to Heartseeker, myself and my friends are very happy. People are kind and friendly, factions are balanced and pvp happens but they don’t sit there and camp your corpse for hours.
