I am newly returned to wow after about a 7-8 year break. i hit 90, got some pvp gear and started doing pvp. the experience in aggregate has made me want to just put the game down for another 10 years. here are my stats over the last 4 days:
Normal BGs: 5 wins - 17 losses
Epic BGs 1 win - 7 losses
Brawl 1 win - 7 losses (3 games we almost won but then an alliance player leaves and countdown to end begins)
having a 7 - 31 record over a sample size of 38 matches is absolutely horrific. at least 25% of the matches have been against super sweaty premades and horde doesn’t even get a kill.
I know there is an individual skill component; but after the first 10 matches and I had a chunk of gear i usually perform decently relative to my team. i cc enemy healers, intervene to my healer + disarm and stun melee to peel, I LOS casters and jump interrupt when they;re bursting, I reflect key spells, stance dance etc. i don’t think i’m bad enough to justify such a bad W/L.
The issue is amplified by the fact if alliance caps the first node, people immediately drop, then we just cycle through people joining and leaving. I used to love running a few Bg’s after work but this is what the state of the game looks like. do i just reroll Alliance and put up with que times?
i know that warrior isnt necessary the best for random BGs being a melee getting dogpiled by ranged.
Yeah your first mistake was playing the warrior class without at least 1 healer dedicated only to you.
Warrior is kind of senior citizen simulator.
Warrior is effectively unplayable without a healer and it’s OK when it has one.
And the 2nd potential mistake was doing horde as right now alliance is meta because blizzard refuses to actually balance/remove the night elf racial invincibility frame nonsense so all the sweaty players flock to it for their 1% advantage and then all the other want-to-be sweats flock over as well to follow them.

Hahaha, okay that actually checks out with my experience so far. I would love to actually see what faction stats are right now hey as it really feels like alliance has all the sweats.
Both factions experience the same thing. The problem is that the game does a terrible job of match-making in unrated games.

Crazy amount of alliance premades
It really has never been as bad as it is now for solo BG players during prime time(ish) hours*. That’s why IMO smarter people will play with groups because otherwise they queue solo and often get put in with an uncoordinated team vs. a well coordinated team. Soloers probably also get more bad backfills than groups will. (Blizz doesn’t care so that’s why the smarter people who want to keep playing will adapt.)
*Note: Maybe soloers who play during odd hours of the day have a different experience and win all the time. That’s definitely possible if their faction happens to be the strongest faction (groups, coordination, etc.) during that time of day.
I win plenty solo queing.
Que times are higher across the board and the ones that do pop are just the same people over and over and over.
Just a symptom of the increasing shrinkage.
The family effect.
Premade players most of them have demonstrated that it’s not really about family for them or it is but not as much.
As they will not hesitate to just jump ship to another one they think the grass is greener on and wins more. Aka one that’s easier to get carried in.
So in other words it’s not enough for them to be in just any premade trying to stack unrated but they need to be in the strongest one.
No honor amongst thieves you know what they say.
Path of least resistance is what they live by. Which is probably a big reason as to how they’ve ended up where they are at.
Pressure makes diamonds is a saying for a reason.
Heavier resistance and weight makes bigger and stronger muscle.
Intense and concentrated study/reading helps memory and learning
More intense and difficult training makes better soldiers.
Playing a game on the hardest difficulty will make you better at said game than someone who plays it on easy.
And playing in a non stacked environment makes you a better player.
s like I said.
Says the blood dk………
Yall can ignore him he just likes to be sent on shock flights. Nothing to see here.

You mention my spec like it’s not c tier lmao.
It’s got so many nerfs on it now in this xpac it’s not even funny.
And I can be sure to dc knock you with electric shock next time I see you since you like that item so much yeah?
Thats Intentional as randoms arnt suppose to be fair or balanced just random.
The people who are too afraid to lose or struggle even a little are generally alliance
If you want more balanced games do rated like blitz. Its like night and day difference in skill and coordination cuz all the people who generally play poorly get pushed down and you never see them again.
Here’s my experience as someone with characters on both sides. I win about 55-60% on the alliance side. Horde has been kinda sluggish since a lot of players went Alliance for the best M+ racrials (NE/Dwarf etc) some expansions ago, and it feels like stayed the same.
Since 12.1 I’d say it def feels like Horde is losing much more, and might track with your experience. Especially starting a new alt is miserable on the horde side.
Random is not a random when one side has a premade.

This is true and they unfortunately ruin it for everyone whos just vibing in a random.
Another benefit of rated is no premade babies
Alliance had same thing back when Horde racials was better for PvE.
It lasted for over a decade and blizz even admited that they didn’t wanted to nerf Horde racials because it would have triggered an exodus of players and blizzard didn’t wanted to break horde social bonds over racials. It even got worse when in SL in Castle Nathria Dwarves could dispell some big bleed from boss, so blizzard quickly came and changed bleed to super-undispelabble bleed so people “Wouldn’t have felt forced to play Alliance”.
Now they dont care cuz it makes them a ton of money on race changes. The day nelf changes we are gonna see the WoW ingame store break
Exactly. Blizzard always benefited from race changes, I don’t think they ever had any intention of balancing either side.

Random refers to the map, not team selection.
I didnt see that happen. In fact you went for several flights courtesy of friends.
You need a hug?
Yeah I saw you ontop of me along with 8 other people.
I have not seen you all night that probably explains it you were busy yapping trying to line up your perfect Que all night.
