And it’s all because at some point, someone thought it would be cool if all the devs mained horde. No one at corporate thought it would be a good idea to keep even tabs on both factions.
It would be like having every member of Congress a member of one party. Would you really believe that they were fairly representing members of the other party?
The problem is a concentrated playerbase on one side. The only way to fix it is to get people to move from a position of advantage to a position of disadvantage in enough numbers that the two positions even out.
How do you get people to spend time as alliance if the horde get all the same rewards?
Not anymore. We are talking about a team full of people that didn’t help develop vanilla or bc…
Its a community driven problem. Its up to the players to fix it. So good luck with that.
No. The warmode fiasco’s clearly address it in a specific system. The best chance they have to fix it is offer big discounts on faction transfers and free AP for doing it or something. But ActiBlizz would never take revenue off the table.
Look at the numbers I quoted from wow progress and arena mate. Its a top down issue in the community. Its not just about world first, its about being on the side where the good players are so you can get in better groups for tougher content.
Most people don’t play one side or the other . Yes more play horde at higher level but that doesn’t mean there are actually more actual horde players then there are alliance . It means most of them are playing Horde for end game.
Leveling both are equal and all those stats show is toons not actual players.
I have 3 lvl 120s . Two are Horde and one is alliance so right now I would be considered 66/33 horde favored even though I am only 1 person.
THat is not taking into consideration all my various other alts.
Sorry, you are wrong. Not trying to be mean, but you don’t know what you are talking about. None of the numbers or population data supports that in the slightest.
The community exploited it. Belfs and orcs were nerfed before BFA launched and the imbalance got WORSE. It is no longer an issue of racials, its community.
you act like all the hardcores just magically chose horde on the character select screen, instead of you know, them transferring because of racials and then creating a snowball effect that has led to today.
That table doesn’t say “World First”. It shows the stats for any group at 5 or more bosses. Shall we come back to it at the end of the tier and look again? What would you say if the numbers were still close to that then? Cause I’m pretty sure it was around 70/30 near the end of Uldir.
But let’s look at other things. Like how long it will take for alliance to get 100 guilds through mythic compared to horde. Let’s look at high end PvP too. Heck, just look at the alliance guilds who were even considered part of the world first race.
“We’ve been looking at high-end participation in raids and other activities where, over time, a lot of the high-end communities gravitated Horde,” he said, “partly because past racial imbalances that we have largely remedied. We’ve got a couple of small nerfs to berserking and arcane torrent coming in [Patch] 8.1, Tides of Vengeance.”
