Faction imbalance

FYI: “On the table” tend to be just not saying “Not going to happen” when it comes to WoW.

Eh. If that were the case when the reviewer asked for clarification he’d have gotten a shorter answer. It sounded like they were actually considering it.

It is a short term solution to a problem that was created by other short term solutions. And, like every short term solution, it will have long term negative implications on this game.

So much so, that players are actively trying to go back to versions of the game, before all of the “solutions.”

Blizz talking about it=/=blizz doing something about it.

You could also say he basically said “it’s not the top of our list, but it’s something we are looking into.” Depends on you personality I guess.

It’s a long term solution to a problem that has existed for years. You have a better idea?

Again. A short term solution would be juicing alliance racials and/or offering incentives / discounts to faction change.

A long term solution is a systems change of some caliber, which this is.

Anyway, we aren’t agreeing here (and are just repeating ourselves) so we probably ought to end this conversation shortly.

I think it will be a benefit and you disagree–which is perfectly a-okay.

He even reiterated the possibility with a followup question.

It looks like both questions were answered with the skill of a politician:

rofl not having it is literally killing a whole faction

No. It is a short term solution. It does nothing for world content, servers or the economy and will lead to additional problems that will need solving like access to guild banks, guild chat and cross server trading.

I am not a game developer. They need to come up with a better idea.

No, ignoring it and hoping it would fix itself is killing a faction. Giving up is not a solution. But it is the cheapest option. Yay.

Alliance is fine in those fields. The only place we have issues is in the high end and let me tell you–we definitely do. It is a huge pain to recruit for mythic raiding on alliance.

It is a long term solution to the actual problem–which, to be crystal clear, is a lack of players for the alliance’s high end. The casual base is more than fine as it is.

In-other-words “I have no idea.” Got it. End of.

AOO and faction bonus exist for?

No, it is literally giving up. And I understand. If you have zero interest in actually playing an mmorpg and are only concerned about HoF, then this is the cheap easy fix.

This is so LoL I don’t even know what to say.

To incentivise alliance players joining warmode. Alliance has a smaller playerbase interested in PvP than horde.

It solves the issue in a way that is permanent. That is a picture book example of a long term solution.

I can say the same about your argument–or lack thereof.

If you do not like the solution raised, provide another option or sit down.

Ahh, I see the issue. You actually have no idea what short term fix vs. long term solution actually means. Permanence has no bearing.

And you have no idea how feedback forums work. GL.

It’s evolving the game past antiquated ideas. Factions add nothing to the game anymore.

Neither do classes. Class balance causes infinitely more problems for this game. That next on the chopping block?

Jeeze can this shaman go troll somewhere else

I just want cross-faction grouping

I’ll take false equivalency for 500, Alex.

Are you even trying?

You act like we haven’t been working together in some capacity since Vanilla. Factions have “come together” for some event since the beginning. They are even more utterly meaningless now than they were then.
