I did one a few weeks ago and it was like 30 min.
Its likely just a volume thing today…or so I hope.
~3 hours here pending a faction change. Was still in my old guild and they see me there, but can’t kick me. Hopefully it’ll go through in the 24 hour window mentioned already.
It’s a system that’s processing the orders. Not someone who is sitting by being lazy.
I’ve not seen any confirmation that there’s a system issue. So far, it just looks like a backlog due to how incredibly popular the game and its services still are

Better system to process orders and get through a backlog of faction changes that they knew was coming once they announced the new combined Allainced and Horde Guilds. WoW Team should know how things will go each time something new comes out, its been almost 20 years of WoW, my Monk Brewrosia has been stuck to close to 2 to 3 hours in the “process” stage.

It said error and then the error disappeared. Now its just saying might take several mins.
This is likely why they have not seen the need to make changes since they last updated from 72 hours for these services to 24. You’re talking about a backlog that will last a day or so. Not something likely to last a prolonged time.
But if you feel that they should improve the system, you’re welcome to provide that feedback in-game or via the General forums, as those who make decisions on things like this do not visit the CS forum for feedback.

So the general theory right now is that its just a backlog? been a couple hours for myself as well.
Problem is GF got hers done in like 20 minutes then I did the transaction myself and im going on almost 3 hours now, if its a backlog issue then its a messed up one currently.

I was able to purchase the faction change, no issues there. After I made my beautiful new self, my character is now stuck with that dreadful red ERROR message and hasn’t been updated. Relogged, full game & launcher quit, and put it in rice. No go. Still ERROR.
EDIT: Omg, what is this BS with the character it selected for me to post on, ROFL. The real OG is Pwincessuwu-Thrall
And if there’s an issue, they’ll work on it. They have never, in the very many years I’ve been posting here, treated character services with anything but they highest level of importance when working on any issues that have popped up.

This happens somewhat regularly when services go on sale, so I wouldn’t necessarily say a theory.
Couple that with a content patch day as well as a highly-anticipated social feature and then you’ve got a good recipe for inundation.

Going on 5 hours now.
I don’t know. 5 hours feels like an issue. 
I am also having an issue with my faction change. I ordered it over an hour ago and nothing still
< 24 hours still… guess I should have done this yesterday.
And yet it can take up to 24 hours as all online transactions can. If after 24 hours it still hasn’t completed, then open a support ticket for purchase failure.

It wouldn’t have worked if you were trying to stay in the same guild without quitting and rejoining. I should have thought of that. This system sucks and is broken.
I have been waiting OVER an hour now for my faction swap and I am still stuck as processing! I would really like to be able to check out the new content but can’t even log in. Any ideas what is going on here at all?
