EZ-Mine Nodes Suck

just land on top of them, and save your overloads for them, they’re honestly the only overload worth doing at this point imo

I tell myself that they screw the bots over, so I’m ok with it. They aren’t that hard to deal with once you get used to it, I still relax and sip my coffee while farming.

I can’t believe people struggle with these. Just move when you see a bomb on you and usually after that you’re good. Only con of these is sometimes it despawns mid gather

They’re pretty easy to mine if you know what you’re doing

My miner is a dh and it’s pretty awesome just landing on top of them and mining pain free.

Thius has been done before. Herbing in Emerald Dream a plant thing would spawn and youʻd fight it to get more of whatever herb it was. I also remember some basilisks would spawn from mining nodes in Leigon to give you extra ore after you killed them

I’ve gone to ignoring them as well… nothing like getting half way through the mine and it despawns or feeling like the node is wasting your time when you could have potentially mined 2-3 other nodes in the time it can take to mine this node.

??? they take like a second and a half to mine if you stand close to them lol

I honestly haven’t found one yet that didn’t have a spot in the terrain around it that you could stand in and still reach it without getting exploded. I usually just start by approaching at max distance to still reach it, start mining, if I’m in a spot that will get hit I move to a spot that doesn’t appear to be getting any explosive circles, profit.

Normally I can just eyeball judge it, though. Any upslope, downslope, blocking rocks, etc will stop the circles from populating there.

I like them because they give my engineers lots of scrap.

It’s a lot easier to just get closer and mine it. Your proximity to the node dictates your gather speed.

That’s the part of you that wants to get exploded that’s talking.

Wild. Is that a thing? Still, I’d rather be out farther and not have to reposition halfway through and for sure get the node than spend the same amount of time trying to RNG into being in a clear spot three times.

Yep, if you’re right on top of it it’s only 1.6 seconds I think; before Finesse.

Yep. Unless it’s bismuth. I brake for bismuth regardless if it’s stupid EZ-Mine.

Ez-Mine I think is a bonus tandem engineer thing, or you have to be specced into it? It’s called “Ez Mine” but takes over 5 times longer and yields no additional benefits (without being specced which will literally be the last thing I ever spec into tbh)

Its annoying but funny to see multiboxxers not go for these.

I hit them up when I’m on my two accounts. Dismounting puts both people in the same spot, or, I just position each one manually before I start mining.

My lame manual shadowboxing is probably not what you’re talking about, though. I’ll take all the ones that the efficiency-driven all farm all the time types pass up!

Just stay close enough to tag it,you wont get blown up

I haven’t had a bomb thrown at me yet, is that normal? Like they so far have just been ore nodes with funny noises

heh, just gotta stand in the right spot.

my problem with this is there are WAY too many of these types. its only amusing if its every once in a while— not every third node.

maybe incentivize these a bit more? they could drop eng scrap or something? if you’re going to inundate us with these, make them better worth it?
