EZ-Mine Nodes Suck

No. I won’t spec into them. How about this, how about stop trying to make gathering stressful? I don’t need everything I do in the game to be “engaging.” Sometimes, I just want to log in and relax, sip coffee and gather for an hour or so… What’s so wrong with that? What’s next are you going to make fishing where there’s a random chance to fish up a shark, and then the player has to stop what they’re doing and battle a shark for 30 seconds or die? For Pete’s sake, come on already…

I just ignore them. I mine on my Pally, so I can bubble through it, but it’s not worth the two ore. lol

It’s amazing how I enjoy the herbing interactions, but mining got hit with a really dumb one.

They’re pretty awesome when you’re just an observer.

Don’t give them ideas!

If you get really close to them, you mine them very quickly.
Tried to explain this to someone else, got called a liar. :frowning:

It only seems to be mined slowly from a distance.

Right? They’re pointless, other than the overload. They give the same amount of ore as any other node, except they might kill you.

I think if you move closer to them you mine them faster.

But I love them, I can turn a worthless Ironclaw Ore into 3 Bismuths with Elemental Overload, which is great.

I just wish it didn’t slow you down to mine them. I get the gimmick is that it is faster if you are close, but sometimes all the explosives get caught on terrain and just obliterate the area centered exactly on the ore and it takes like 8 seconds to mine.

I mean, the closer you are to them the faster you mine them.

If you’re on top of them, you can loot it and get out of dodge before any even pop.

Yeah, that in particular is annoying, not to mention that if you Overload those, the ores spawn inside the main deposit, so you can’t mine them.

Mind you, before I switched my mining to Engineering, I had a few occasions of people flying into the blast radius after overloading, right as it goes off.

It’s always funny tbh.

The original design was a random chance for a direct hit to destroy up to 2 pieces of equipped gear. That may have been a fun mini game.

On my Druid I fly right up close so it triggers the node, then I land on the other side and mine it while it tosses the bombs where I first flew in.

Lmao, yeah, I kinda developed a code of ethics for this, I never overload when I see there’s people around, early in the expansion I did that and I got a random druid that just came to mine killed, I assume they didn’t know how it worked, so they just walked into the blast radius to mine it.

EZ-Mine nodes are, well, EZ once you get the hang of them. They also yield the most when you overload, but don’t get too greedy; I find most people only manage to get about three chunks before an overloaded EZ-mine goes boom.
