Ok guys, everyone in chat is always raging about the movie "Eyes Wide Shut’‘.
I watched it… You all are crazy. The movie was great. Lot of nudity. Secret society stuff? eh, its a movie… But the last line from Nicole Kidman, absolutely and unexpectedly hilarious.
Lets discuss.
Fantastic movie. Pity it was Kubrick’s last.
Saw it when it came out. I was pretty young so a lot of it I didnt pick up on. On later re-watchings as I got older I found I found I understood more of the themes.
Really? I did not see much of that… not really. supposedly he died too quick after and the film was altered just a bit?
You have no idea. I guess the CPTB ( cyko powers that be) are happy you are are clueless bout all this. All the while Kubrick is rolling in grave. ?? so behind the times but the boomers are attacked constantly.
Yeah it was definitely an interesting watch. I saw people in trade chat talking about it.
One thing I remember that made me chuckle about the whole movie, was that before the entire night happened, Alice was seeing pulling a baggy of ‘weed’ out from her stash in the medicine cabinet, and as she was rolling it up it looked like some of the oldest and dryest looking weed ever. Arguably could have been something completely else. I thought this was funny because then as they’re smoking it and enjoying it, both start to get into their argument and then of course Dr Harford goes on to have several hallucinations (bad trip) about Alice’s fantasies she had revealed, which then leads into a night of chaotic events.
Yeah I have heard this rumor too. But I don’t know if this is a fact or not. There was several youtube videos claiming this was the case, and a lot specualted on how the end scene the daughter is drifting away from both the stars, and they made some weird analysis that she was being pulled away by guy figures, but I think that specualtion was kinda crazy because to me it didnt actually seem that way at all. But who knows.
I think the fact it was his last movie was kinda dramatic, as it was an incredible movie. The ending lines from Alice were hilarious to me, as it brought the reality of the situation back down to a ‘live in the moment’ vibe. I think Kubrick made that ending, becuase it was comedic and made the movie seem chaotic but at the same time feel like we shouldn’t try to think to much about everything and just live in the now kind of thing.

Great movie though I agree. I wonder what other movies he has made, I would definitely probably watch some of his others.
There is a whole coocoo theory that Kubrik filmed the fake moon landing and Danny’s sweater in the Shining with a rocket on it is a reference to that.
Watch the Room 237 documentary for all the weirdness.
So interesting to think about all this. I really researched so much on this and many of his movies. Jay Weidner does some great analysis on this too. Kubrick’s daughter has done some interviews too on this. Remember to at the end of the EWS movie the couple and daughter were in a ‘Teddy Bear’ store. That is a symbol too. It’s really scary to think about all this. So there is that too.
Did you know Kubrick was supposed to and I think working on A.I Intelligence movie? Spielburg took it over. If you really look at the city (it’s very questionable continuing this ‘ee rot ick’ theme) and how about the want to having an ‘eternal’ little boy?
This is NOT a made for children’s movie for sure. Don’t forget Kubrick’s ‘The Shining’ so off the rail of the book… Stephen King was so mad! Really dark stuff in that too.
Maybe they had just had enough of Kubrick’s revealing too much? I don’t know. I really never liked his movies until I started researching his intense themes/symbolism/revealing the true dark nature of H3llywood elite/ telling many layers that you don’t see at first glance. It’s a ‘rabbit hole’. Edit: His movies are haunting, your subconscious catches all this even if you don’t!.

I actually didn’t even realize that Kubrick was the director of the Shining.
I swear I saw that movie as a child, and it still haunts me to this day. I don’t know, something about it just really creeped me out, even now thinking about it. Ive seen a lot of scary movies, but that one definitely is one I get chills thinking about.

It might soothe your soul to go look up some ‘research’ on Kubrick ‘The Shining’ and how he really manipulated scenes rather than ghosts, he would move things that were there a second ago… and based on my research the hotel was on ‘ancient Indian’ burial grounds … he was trying to tell a story about the absolute corruption of a ‘mob elite’ that us little people aren’t privy too…but it is all around and to me becoming more and more obvious every day. It’s not for the faint of heart though.

I hope not. There was a mockumentary from the early 2000s called “Dark Side of the Moon” that claimed the CIA hired Kubrick to film a fake moon landing except it was clearly a fake documentary. Very well made and entertaining.
But it wouldnt surprise me in the online dumb-dumb Joe Rogan world we live in now that a conspiracy theory has sprung claiming that.

Oh yeah the whole 237 documentary does minute scene by scene analysis of the Shining, digging for barely perceptible symbolism and clues.
It reads more like a superfan dissecting his most beloved auteur than anything too crackpot. Except for the moon landing thing. That’s pretty wild.
Go look up Jay Wiedner. He has a documentary on this. There is an interesting channel that really does deep search on YT… Collative Learning. Regardless, of the ‘moon landing’ the deep dive into Kubrick is so fascinating.
I don’t think we went to the moon like this… but I do entertain that the tech that exists is so beyond anything !! the ‘overlords’ share with the ‘cattle’… call me what you want but … ask yourself…is it ‘imagination’ in the movies or is it they have done it and have been there and pretend it’s fantasy/make believe and make bookoo $$$ off of us? Why in 1947 ‘secret agencies’ of gov NSACIA… they can take all the $$$ and do all sorts of secret things with it under ‘National Security’? It’s in the movies… did you watch the ‘X files’? It’s all in plain sight… I’m just kidding… All fun and fake. Everything is fake. Right? This is all a ‘game’. It’s just a game.
