I don’t feel that this has always been the case, but lately my loading times have been NUTS. On my own it’s somewhat bearable, maybe it can be like 10 seconds to get into a raid. But if I’m in a raid group, loading into ANYWHERE at all whether it’s an empty raid or porting to a city takes a minute or more and usually my WoW client will stop responding for awhile. I’ve gotten kicked from groups when summoned because people didn’t want to wait for me.
Does anyone know what would be causing this? It’s definitely recent as of the Collectors Bounty event or so and as far as I know, nothing has changed with my setup/hardware/etc. It’s really, really bad, though.
Could be your drive, you have a hard drive? SSD?
Might be a large amount of addons, taking extra time?
I have an NVMe SSD with WoW installed on that, so I don’t think that’s the issue.
Certainly could be addons, but I haven’t really changed any recently at all. If anything, I uninstalled some like Altoholic to try to speed things up. And I definitely disabled All The Things since that uses SO many resources.
Can’t think of too much else that should be causing such immense loading times. But what’s especially weird, as I mentioned, is that this happens when joining a raid group FAR more often and longer than if I’m just by myself. It’s very, very strange.
Is there a way to see which addons are taking longest to load, aside from disabling some and seeing if the game loads faster?
