But what exactly is a “rip cord”? I’m so confused.
I really don’t care one way or the other, but it does feel like people are a little whiny about it. Like most people wouldnt bat an eye at these kind of choices in most games. All I know is there will be a way to switch in a limited fashion, and that seems fair to me.
Most games wouldn’t add in something this idiotic though. Unless you are talking about single player games but that’s an entirely different argument to begin with.
Because in your head you still believe the fundamental issue is one who wants to swap vs one who doesn’t want to swap. NO!!! , it is not
To make choice matter, there has to be a consequence else it doesn’t matter. The fact that you made this thread proves it works because you having consequences you do not like is effecting your decision.
I don’t want to swap covenants and probably won’t. However, this definitely will affect me. How could it not? It puts me in a very bad place because I have no interest in spending many hours working on min-maxing.
And the consequence is that if you screw up and don’t do enough of the right research and a lot of your own testing, you will be set back to the point where a lot of people will throw up their hands and say, “screw this game and everybody who wanted me to fail.”
Absolutely! it is punishing you for making a bad choice or specializing on one .
And that’s what you want. You want people to fail, be punished for not being good at min maxing and not min maxing hard enough, and quit the game forever.
Why?
What bad choice? As it still stands, Rogues can pick Maldraxxus and be optimized for all forms of content on every spec lol.
Kind of the problem, none of this garbage is equalized among classes and specs. Like, none of it.
And druids have some real garbage choices there.
