Expect waaay more raider.io gatekeeping in DF

The vast majority of people will grab their talents from Wowhead and Icy Veins, don’t worry about it.

Something that drops your dps!!

You can inspect in-game which is real time. Still doesn’t change that RIO’s run history will show which builds you used in each run.

i think this is more aimed at people actually playing the game though.

just make your own groups

I agree and the reason is the game design is failing the modern / [post] millennial playstyle. The game goes out of its way to funnel players into M+ and Raids as the only progression paths. Both of which have very rigid requirements around schedules. Until the game can support drop in/drop out and truly flexible gameplay modes, it will lose share to other games.

Blizzard know this, Ion acknowledged this in the latest preach interview but they still refuse to change the status quo, good for those that like things as is. Bad for shareholders who want to capture more market share. Hopefully Microsoft can buy blizz and straighten things out.

If interrupts aren’t happening and I find out ppl in the party didn’t spec into interrupts, I’ll just bail.

It’s not like they use them now!

You are looking for Action RPGs or arcade style games, not an MMORPG.

Obviously, since M+, Raids, and PvP are the three pillars of end-game.

I mean i often dont play meta so i have to make my own keys all the time soooo makes no difference to me

Yeah, nothing like seeing a cast go off with 3 interrupts available and having the dps all say that they couldn’t get it. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I think this raider-io BS is so stupid, anyone who uses some stupid website to gatekeep should be perma-banned from the game, go play something else. People just want to do content not have some stupid website tell someone if they can do something or not.

Dungeon rating is built into the game after raider.io was so popular and well-received by the community. :dracthyr_love_animated:

As a healer, I have let DPS die based on interrupts. Pettiness begets pettiness. “Oh sorry couldn’t get ya in time.”

well-recieved lmao… alot of things well received in this game ended up being stupid

MMORPGs are not about “progression”. they’re about a living, breathing persistent world for you to create your own adventures in.

the fact that the modern ‘player’ can’t do that and the developer has to try to do it for him is what got us into this M+/raid funnel.

Yes? It’s just a way of checking history/experience. Inviting somebody off ilev to a +19 when they might not have done the dungeon before is realistically only going to end one way.

yeah. Thats a symptom for sure. I’m surprised they don’t just play COD or something, basically the same thing.

Action RPGs are MMO these days. In much the same way as RTS gave way to the MOBA (though less profound a change), the MMORPG genre can either adapt or dwindle to its ~2m sub count.

Such a narrow focus for such a “massively multiplayer” game… the sub count reflects this. All in all, wow is a very enjoyable game for me in small doses, I am not on the “I hate wow” bandwagon, I think wow is great.

I just don’t have the time to enjoy wow like I did early 2000 and with gear being the only bottleneck to accessing content (not skill), it frustrates me all the more every time I come back.

I’d rather see the 1st one go off because everyone be like “I thought Tank was gonna get it”. When they do use them its all at the same time.
