Expansion $49

Those 50 dollar version included a boost though, so they’re not entirely wrong about the price increase.

i paid $39 for those

No it wasn’t.

The $49.99 was the Standard Edition. $69.99 for Digital Deluxe Edition, and $99.99 for the Collector’s Edition for Battle for Azeroth.

Then you bought them on sale or found a site selling them for less.

WoD, Legion and BfA were all 50 instead of the previous 40, but included a boost, SL was the first to have a boost-less version that went back to 40 but now the boost-less version is 50 which is a price increase.

DF is the most expensive expansion we’ve had but is likely worth it.

No you didn’t. No one did.

Cost of base dragonflight is definitely okay imo considering the new pokemon game is going to be like 100$ after taxes :sob:

BfA standard 50 dollar came with a boost

and those things nearly never go on sale.

Alright you got me with the boost, but the base expansion was still $50.

Correct, but with SL they removed the boost and dropped the expansion price back to 40, now we are paying 50 again, but no boost this time, meaning there is a price increase.

$50 without a sub, so it’s really $65… and nobody is gonna play for just 1 month, so it’s really… $80… your best option might be 6-month sub route for $78 + $50 base and you’ll be good for a hot minute… $128 is no joke for a video game… even $118 is serious.

I agree, the increase in price is a scam, all 6 of my buddies and I in discord are not going to buy until it goes on sale, and even after that, we are all still going check the hype on YouTube/Twitch. Just playing around with current pre-patch for 1 day, I don’t personally think it’s going to live up to Shadowlands, which I consider a solid B+ release.

At best, Dragonturd is gonna be a C- I’m thinking… and if it was $25 or $30 I’d consider getting it today but I’ll just wait. Brand new season in Ascension just dropped and there are like 10 other games to play on right now.

  • no boost with purchase
  • 6 trade slots
  • no dueling in city
  • half-baked professions for past several expansions
  • jenked up UI release + huge amount of bug reports on forums (months old)
  • a (good) reason majority of streamers play WOTLK
  • copium is real with me but we all know the list is really 30+ bullets long (at least)
  • silent /1 chat afraid of mass report broken

It’s not really, in the grand scheme of things, boat loads of money because you could be out on the streets doing drugs and other degenerate things that would cost you far more time, focus and health… buuuuut it’s enough for me to not support game development because I’m getting a bad deal / ripped off. :smirk:

WOTLK all day. PVE might not be as great but the PVP is definitely better. :ok_hand:

p.s. - don’t forgot $70 for Call of Duty, which is same game (minus graphics) as previous 5+ version :joy::joy:

p.s.s. - i read somewhere in comment above me… inflation… for bobby’s yacht? HAHAHAHA… the things people tell themselves.

Whether it’s worth it or not is subjective, but if DF turns out to be decent then that $49 sort of pays for itself. If not, then it was definitely a waste of money.

I hated how BfA and SL turned out but still feel like I got my money’s worth

use a game code website if you don’t want to pay the full price. GG.deals is a good one that shows you a bunch of prices for different websites.

I never buy games directly from steam or anything anymore. You can always find codes way cheaper online.

Have to be careful which sites you use, some are legit but i’ve had keys revoked by platforms that were purchased on grey sites.

I’ve used eneba for a long time. Never had any issues. The websites GG.deals link are legit.

eneba is definitely not a legit steam reseller, if you haven’t had issues that’s fine, i usually don’t either.

kinguin, g2play, gamivo, eneba, etc all don’t list their key source, even says so on the site you linked that all of them have risks for buying keys there.

They do list legit resellers though like humble and gamebillet so at least you can make an informed decision.

inflation?
The sub is what it was 15 years ago.
Pacman was literally $50 when it came out… lmao.
I remember because back then $50 was a little bit more money than it is right now.

so…what was the problem again?

Glad I only got mine through tokens.

Running WQ adds up and since I was very hesitant on the content (like Dragonriding) I didnt want to spend RL cash, so i just saved up gold and bought tokens…

Then don’t buy it.

Why should anyone “sell” you on it? Play it or don’t
