I disagree with this and that could be where we are having a disconnect. I can log on now and have a 110 level character I have never earned a stitch of experience with (or is it 100? I forget) so I “reached end game” by leveling a few more levels? No. End game would be (again my opinion) highest end content, most recent unlocks. The wording itself kind of says that doesn’t it? If you are doing non M+ stuff how would you be end game when their is so much left to do?
Ok the people that bought BFA most will see the end game story line thru min LFR the people that bought BFA at min will have gone thru a normal Dungeon end game content, and most that bought BFA hit max level 120
Congrats. Your opinion isn’t fact. Endgame is content that opens up at max level. Simple. That is literally what Blizzard has defined it as.
Not like any of this matters. Levels will be squished and leveling will be made much better. Cry all you want, most look forward to this change. If they didn’t you’d see everyone up in arms. But instead we see only you and your claims that you are a “vast majority.”
See ya in the Shadowlands!
Normal dungeon, so their isn’t anything after normal? You know, something more difficult with maybe better rewards? Guess you are correct and I am wrong, most have hit end game. ![]()
I wouldn’t hold my breath… For all we know Blizzard will pull a “Warcraft III: Refunded” with Shadowlands and all the features showed and statements made at BlizzCon will not be delivered upon or absent from the new expansion, and overall just be an expansion of broken promises and missed potential and angry customers demanding refunds.
Are you saying BFA dungeons regardless of Difficulty is not end game content?
Or just normal dungeons aren’t end game content
I am saying that if there is a bunch of content after the content you are in how can you be “end game”?
Most people that are honest know end game content is any content that is after max level be it normal dungeons or I know some hate it LFR…
That is end game content…only difference is you get higher gear if you do higher levels of said end game content
I’m curious, what feature are you most excited for?
Did you just say “most people”, can you PROVE THAT? ![]()
I came to WoW at launch from EQ. AFterlife was the top guild in EQ and to standard everyone saw as at “end game” because if people are doing content you can’t do saying you were actually at “end game” felt wrong. I guess today in the everyone gets a trophy era this has changed. I personally will never suggest someone is at end game unless they are doing the hardest content in the game, hence literally “end of the game” as it currently exists.
As I said we won’t agree, but at least you understand why I said what I did and think like I think. We can also agree as I consider end game (literal end game content) most playing probably haven’t reached it. That’s why I was so shocked so many say I am wrong. When in essence people simply want to say log in, but a 100th level character, level to 120 and you are end game and to me that’s simply silly and has nothing “end” to it.
So your using the standard end game is only Mythic lvl raiding?
Also I alpha tested EQ
My ex husband was on the development team at the time was interesting to be in on some of those meetings them discussing and cussing what should and should not be in game
I think having at least started in Mythic would be a huge step to entering end game since it’s an entire category that people try to reach yes.
I learned of EQ about a month before it launched, played it for 10 years hardcore had a friend who was the six rated (as the boards went) Shaman on the server. I thought our guild was doing great things and we were until I helped Afterlife in some content and that’s when I realized actual end game and we weren’t in it.
I’d have to think the jump to high end Mythic stuff is so far more advance (and I’m guessing based on posts and such) than standard raids that it would have to be considered true end game, as I have kept saying since things like “most people” can’t be proven but if content in the game is such that it’s multiple times harder than something else (mythic vs standard) saying you are “end game” doing the standard is honestly laughable to me because you have much harder content you haven’t even touched let alone beat.
I have a huge soft spot for the Lich King/Scourge/Undeath stuff, so Death being one of the major themes of Shadowlands is a big draw for me.
I also like the aesthetics/environments of the zones we’ve seen so far.
I’m most hyped for the new character customizations and the leveling rework so I can chill (pun intended) for longer in Northrend.
And if I’m allowed to go on a bit of a ramble here, I have my fingers crossed to see our Northrend allies again - the tuskarr, frostborne and the taunka. It seems like a great time to feature them again given that they should’ve long recovered after WotLK and a portal is showing up right above their heads; it seems like a good opportunity for them to answer the Alliance and Horde’s call for allies in fixing the “death doesn’t work right” problem, which also affects them anyhow. It’s not just a chance to give back to the A/H for helping them out so many years ago, but it’s also plainly better to work together to figure out what’s up with Death.
I am very worried about the covenant system. I think it should be purely cosmetic, and should have nothing to do with min/maxxing. What am I supposed to do if Venthir is pve bis, but out of raid i love pvp. But ravendreth gives such a nice utility spell.
Another problem would be if one covenant got nerfed heavily, I would have to swap to maintain my raid spot.
Looks disappointing. Can’t wait for classic TBC more to be honest.
Haha! If only! Then the RNG gods would be in my favor!
Anyone not expecting 6 months of a constantly broken game, with new content being sparse and repetitive and half finished…
is delusional.
They have been working on it for a while I think it will be fantastic!
I myself am VERY excited for this expansion, mainly because I’ll be able to go back and level lots of toons through each expac (Im really looking forward to Mist and WoD). One thing that really has be looking forward to Shadowlands is Torgast, if it’s anything like visions that’ll probably be the main thing I do other then quests and the few dungeons I do.
Another thing that most of the people that I’ve spoken to about this and some of the people in this thread that don’t seem to like it very much, is the level squish. IMO this’ll make leveling my toons (My hunter only really) easier since he’s just stuck in Legion I’ve had no real reason to play him. My hopes are high, but I’ll have to wait and just keep doing visions and islands to keep my busy.
I’m skeptically optimistic about the expansion. I think it’ll be decent though. I think a lot of people will complain about it.
