I think it’s pretty dumb on healers but I feel that devastation needs it. They ain’t got much. Literally a glass cannon
Evokers don’t have many defensives, two charges of obsidian scales if its taken, and renewing blaze. Renewing blaze alone on pre patch at least can just be bursted through and mostly ignored if its popped. Preservation has a few more tools at their disposal. Devastation though will literally flop once those two defensives are down.
Stop time and 3 charge of hover. It has got to some weakness with plate armor.
LOL all these people planning on maining evoker healer obviously only reason to be defending them atm some of the best pvp healers are planning on maining them due to their strengths yes they dont have the most defensives but they are hyper mobile to mitigate goes with ease by just not being there have awesome utility 3 schools of magic for healing so kicks really arent a lockout for healing immune to cc insane burst heals great hots and plenty of cc and damage to offer support in goes they kind of have everything you want

Yeah the dps spec is meh. Healer is strong and i think in the next few months we will see like a 80% drop off of players on evoker (at least dps specs). Once that crazy burst damage is tuned its a pretty clunky and imo boring caster.
I just did a BG on my 270 ilvl geared fury warrior and almost killed a 100k hp devoker by myself. He really couldnt do anything lol. I eventually died because he got some help but without fire breath what can he do? Living flame which is meh. Disintegrate is mehhhh.
I for real dont know why everyone is so up in arms unless its just the one shot videos and stuff from duelist geared devokers popping everything.

Outside of scales. There is no damage reduction and you can take a lot of damage quickly. The Self heals are meh, and the cast time on living flame takes a bit to ramp up and heal yourself and can be kicked and the blossom is kind of garbage imo. So ya they dont have much. When warlocks and Spriest have 10x better defensives. Try dueling one as a dps evoker. Its very hard.
Sadly you can’t purge it. Atleast with Holy Ward, it was only 1 cc and could be purged.

Dps spec is meh? In prepatch Evoker does same dmg as DH, even more.
Just played with 2.7k ww and sp and we all lost shuffle to dps evoker.
Don’t have the beta, but from what’ve heard they are doing great there too.
Fire breath probably on CD. He really couldnt get any other damage out. He got locked on disintegrate and living flame was reflected. If he had full cd i would’ve been dead yes
Also above poster dude its prepatch and they are one shotting with mastery stacking and burst. I dont know how that isnt apparent.
They are not hitting people for 400k at 70.
Oh? When did they change this? Was it in the hotfix logs? I specifically remember day 1 doing solo shuffle and not being able to purge it

Yeah it can be purged/spell stolen.
Monk’s have no way of purging said spell.
