Everything that went live March 5th won't work to fix the population decline

Sweet. I still have mine. Can’t wait for the new castlevania :joy:

You get my points bud. Playing obtuse is amusing

You, you directly said this:

Which is false because studios are. Stop trolling.

This is hilarious honestly. “Mobile” you mean not a laptop but instead the ASUS Ally? The system people hook up to monitors and use a mouse and keyboard with? How is that mobile?

This: As the phases continue on, there will probably be less players. Leveling gets slower, people who were dipping their toes in SoD to try it out have gone. People are probably also full bis by now and waiting for the next phase or just pvping. Raid logs are not the only metric, tons of people play wow and do not raid. SoD has plenty of players. Every major city is packed.

It’s not, it’s the continued level of cognitive dissonance that runs rampant on this forum.

You have feelings and have decided that the majority of the playerbase shares those feelings. But fact is, the game just might not be made for you and those like you. And that’s okay.

It is competing in the mobile market

Now I know that a few of you hunters are upset at me but attempting to say that people are still making nes carts other than on Etsy is silly.

Got to go.

Going to play some games on my iPhone

You can trololololol

#7 is the reason I stopped playing. BFD was so nice, could run it whenever I wanted to and was less than an hour. The idea that you should have to plan your life around and clear out an evening for a video game is ridiculous to me.

PVP isn’t fun when everyone is doing more damage than a fresh Era toon walking into MC at 60 does.

I don’t mind higher damage, but i do think if they go this route then it needs to be properly balance across all roles and specs. Not to say standardize, but the other aspects of the game need to have some kind of place. Take mages for example. Mage healing sucks in PvP (honestly almost all healing does save for priests). And fire far out performs arcane and frost in pvp because of much more damage for less cast time/more instant casts. The lack of dual spec also contributes to this because of the stark difference between a good pve spec and a good pvp spec. But arcane and frost doesn’t really have much of a spot in pvp right now compared to fire. So it becomes how can we make those spec matter in pvp without making them a copy/paste of fire (more damage, shorter casts, more instant). What can frost provide outside of damage that can be built upon for pvp. Tankiness? CC? Things like that.

FOTM has turned into FOTW (week) with the constant nerfs and adjustments being made. This is almost as bad as what the OG Cata team did during tier 11.

I like the fast balance updates. In my opinion, perception of “fotw” is so broken. Because its not like they buff a class and its doing 300% better. Its small differences for the most part. Some classes have been doing good “all phase”. They weren’t just buffed. Then they get nerfed and another class takes its spot, then that one gets nerfed. Rinse and repeat until its in a spot where they want it to be. Then we get a bunch of new runes and the process repeats each phase. They said this was going to happen and it will continue to happen. Its not a big deal so long as each class has one spec that is viable. A ret paladin of equal skill level to a fire mage can complete content just as well as a fire mage. If your raid fails and you say its because you have a ret paladin, highly doubt it. People want the performance of classes to be within 5% of one another. And if you go that route, that’s how you get to retail.

STV

Eh its not for everyone like you said and its not required by any means to progress in the game. I think the theme fits with STV since even before SoD, STV had the reputation of being “gank central” in the OG release. I think a FFA-ish pvp event makes perfect sense with that in mind.

Gnomer isn’t fun

Agreed on this one. The drastic decrease in raid logs speaks volumes of the situation if you ask me.

Logging

Agreed. I think the gonmer situation pushes the logging meta even more.

Were you in quest greens when you got into Gnomer (not even BFD farmed), and they were okay with it? I have some alts that missed BFD entirely, I hope they won’t be gatekept.

What’s Hunter have to do with it? Grow up, should I care what I post as? I’ll use my priest, shaman, pally, monk will that make a difference?

And now I am blocking you. GLHF

I had some bfd gear, which i got from my BFD Exp runs on my way to 40 (I did 2 runs because the raid reset during my 3 day leveling experience). Other than that, when I hit 40, I got some pre bis (dreamweave vest/gloves, star belt, some fiery wrath gear, etc).

Mind you: I am in a guild, as is the intention in SOD (the devs stated this when they banned GDKPs) so I do not have to worry about gatekeeping.

they literally have no other ideas :expressionless: this is like asking, why does a river flow downstream…

I’m slowly getting more and more done with SoD and have little to no faith in the devs working on it.

It sucks because I want to love SoD and I want to enjoy SoD but I primarily pvp and SoD pvp is some of the worst WoW pvp I’ve played

I really really hate that you’re likely right on this one.

Its like a dog wanting to chase a car, they just can’t help themselves.

Blizzard’s dev teams can’t seem to put in decent raiding without making the fights convoluted in the process.

But this comes full circle to the realization that the dev team didn’t have a clear vision or road map on what they wanted to accomplish with SoD and are just using it as a sandbox. This is a real time play out of a Project Manager’s “wake up screaming” nightmare.

We dont want you in SOD, you can leave now.
All points are bad opinions if anything, gnimer doesnt require any addons and you can literally clear it with 6 melee in whites . Byeeeeeee

Classic pvp wasnt balanced, why would sod pvp be balanced ? Lol

This was a dumb reason. It kinda makes this look like a kid trying to make a list look bigger than it is.

Again…

This isn’t even accurate. STV is just as broken up of a zone as Arathi.

Wah wah… I’m sorry you can’t stand still and mash 2 buttons.

This isn’t a SoD thing…classic and retail do this.

I don’t know why anyone would take your argument seriously when it’s just a list of whines.

The real reason for the population decline is barrier to entry and the relatively short phases. Tons of people got to dip their toes in easily in phase 1.

Essentially why do a raid cycle of it only matters for a couple months? Why invest all this in season all characters? This wasn’t an issue in phase 1 since leveling was maybe a weekend and the raid was the entry raid.

Lastly this is every game. People always drop off quick. Even if nothing is “wrong”.

Was said in the post, getting farmed isnt fun. Why i played P2 of SoD for all of 30 minutes and said “nope not worth” 7 deaths in stv to rouges in 30 minutes is not the kind of experience that any sain person finds fun
