It’s not about the gear. OP has a chronic inferiority complex that he keeps bringing to the forums. He wants things handed to him, wants carries, just wants to log in and get the best gear.
Every one of his posts is some cry against elitists and he just keeps finding new (and completely unoriginal) ways to put a spin on his grievance.
Yet if most people refuse to do such content it says there’s a systematic issue there else most people would choose that path.
It is a basic fact, path exists, most people avoid it even though it has great rewards, it only makes sense people take but they don’t, because it is problematic and blizzard needs to fix it.
Incorrect. By providing the best gear with less effort, those players will then have no reason to participate in the associated content as they’ve already reaped the reward.
It’s the one beef I have, as an example, with the weekly PvP chest and the random rewards. They don’t scale beyond 445. I’m now getting 460 gear via conquest.
So while it’s a bit different in that I can still progress via conquest cap, why even bother with the chest or worthless random drops?
Hell, for that matter, why even bother with reg N’zoth when I damn near out gear the fight?
Agree all should have a path. those who raid/M+++ /rated PVP should get best sooner. Us filthy casuals should be able to use worthless 445 drops to upgrade to within 5ilvls of top tier. It would take months, only allow slot for slot upgrades to award 10ilvl and any slot to any slot 5 ilvls, would slow it down more. eliminates the demoralizing lousy RNG of getting 15 shoulders in a row, plus allows path to improve. Cap it at 465 or 470 so us lesser players cant be as shiny as the professional players. So easy.
Nah. Again, those people actually did something for that gear. They should get to use it in the game and not handicapped to assuage your delicate little feelings.
I bet you everything I have that if you did this, 99% of the people demanding it would be whining that they still can’t keep up and that it’s still not fair because you still can’t get the best gear.
IF these people are truly, “Casual”, then they don’t NEED Mythic Raid quality gear, they WANT it.
The content a casual player is doing, is not, going to require that tier of gear, quest rewards, dungeons, WQ’s, and alike are going to be more than suited for the content that someone who can only play for a handful of hours a week will be getting into.
It’s because sales/boosts = wow tokens = $$$ for Blizzard.
This game is being designed for Esports and boosters/sellers to sell to casuals for IRL cash.
Either be a top tier player, or pay up. That’s Ion’s motto.
FF14 allows everyone to be fully geared in BIS regardless of if they raid or not, it just takes a LOT longer.
That game is also more successful and well-liked that BFA, weird!
This is incorrect: BiS literally means Best in Slot. Can you get the same ilevel? Yes, when they add the items to upgrade in the same patch they release the 24 man raids. However, just because the gear is the same ilevel doesn’t make it BiS since BiS is going to include pieces from the Savage raid.
FASTER rewards are BETTER rewards. If the “path of least resistance” theory was true there wouldn’t be any lawyers/doctors/pro-athletes. Money is the reward for IRL, and and higher skill gets it faster. A doctor could buy 2 BMWs a year. The Walmart clerk takes 2 years to buy 1. Same as the gear paths suggested in this thread. According to you the Walmart clerk should never be able to get that BMW at all. OR that no one would be a lawyer because the Wal-Mart clerk eventually gets the same reward.
All I can say is
Your theory is baseless and essentially elitist (I mean look at all the lawyers )
Because Daddy Blizz is nerfing the casual gear rewards it’s not worth it to me to pay during the Pathfinder spitegate so my ~$240 goes to one of Blizzards direct competitors. And I’ll bet you that $240 that there isn’t somebody jumping up to take my spot now that the “evil casuals” are being held down.
