Why do you hold the lore in such high respect knowing the joke its become? And their intent on making every race every class ignoring lore?
I play this game for lore, rp and storyline. And friends. If I can take my friends elsewhere in a few years or so if this “all classes” actually happens, all the better.

i’m with you on that.
the second they throw away factors which i believe make up the soul of this game genre (lore, rp elements, living world, etc.) i’m out.
breaking druid gameplay would be a big part of my decision too…but either way, i guess it’s good ghostcrawler has a project right around the corner

I mean, they could just create new lore saying “after showing signs of peace after the wars, the wild gods have decided to bless all races with druid powers” and then bam…its in lore too. And you know you’ll be back, we all come back. The gameplay of wow is too good and only a few mmos can compete or beat it.

I am one of the few that do care. Alas we are a dying breed. When they finish up destroying all race/class uniqueness they probably will remove classes. You can just choose an allowed move set combination.

yeah i mean at the end of the day, all that matters is the gameplay tbh
at least to me, so as long as that’s fun. I still play outdated RTS games so 
as long as classic is always there for nostalgia at that point

Like I said, the gameplay dictates that we have a limited set of powers. Blizzard however have the freedom to make their NPCs represent their world/lore more than they do with player characters.
What makes player characters so special in the lore that they have to be a clone of everyone else who shares their race/class?
In Legion we were all running around with the same unique artifact weapons. Hundreds of Ashbringers, Doomhammers, etc. Is that really the most immersive, lore-rich world to live in?
Yes, they’re NPCs. Not us.
Nothing. Which is why we follow the lore and culture of our race and class.
Gameplay mechanics =/= lore.
