Every world first guild is currently all horde...the faction imbalance has grown out of control beyond fixing

The only way to fix this is opening cross faction grouping for dungeons and raids. Cross faction guilds would be nice too.

I thought ion told alliance players to move to horde? So many wanted high elves, ion told them to play horde instead…so they did

Plus story for horde is vastly better. Alliance is mostly stuck as “good” reacts to “bad”. Though a tiny bit better in SL. Horde just has a more involved story of depth. Alliance get genn yelling at the moon at sylvanas like in a comedy cartoon

Anyone blaming racials hasn’t looked very closely at alliance racials.

Anyone remember mechagnomes?..
Lock picking, prof tools, self buffing in combat…there’s more but lets move on.

Night elf shadowmeld… nuff said.

Space goats self heal is nice

Gnomes racial is nice

Human… meh.

Darkiron… for the love of god, fireblood…

Dwarves racial…

Alliance has a few good useful picks in there.

Most horde players go horde because they are looking for progression which other players have moved to horde for.
It’s just a mindset at this point.

I started team blue. Went red, back to blue and now I’m back to horde because my likeminded friends are horde.

Giving horde vulpera was the dumbest thing they could’ve done. Between belves with blue eyes and decent racials and fox people blizz just made horde the go to faction for alliance casuals. Gg.

How about no?

If Alliance dies, it dies. we all move on. Is not like wow is the only game ever.

That being said , we’re doing fine in SL, better than BFA.

The forums make me want to rage delete all my horde toons. Again.

Who cares about world first?

Usually world second or third…the rest of us? Meh

Overall horde got the most unique (and successful) allied races. Even Zandalari was/is more successful (in numbers) than kul’tiran. Vulpera dominate in numbers compared to mechagnome. Mechagnome been amazing though if they used the northrend ones.

Nightborne are as terrible as lightforged but different reasons. Both pretty equally flat. Lightforged racials are a lie when “forge” of light is a stupid anvil that cant smelt ore like a forge. I hate lies. They look cool though compared to normal draenei but could just been cosmetics or like night warrior elves. Nightborne racials are fine for casters but model is stupidely lazy

No opinion on others. They are fine though and roughly equal

The only successful alliance allied race in numbers is void elves, cause its closest to high elves. But again, ion told every high elf fan (which are many) to just play horde.

And ion said that at a time people were already complaining of horde bias and population. Not good timing

Yeah the meaningful racials in the game are all gone like the old school format of weapon mastery for humans and orcs causing large surges of human and orc characters. Then the way they itemized for the same exact class in itself was interesting and fun for gear progression.

Right now though, most of these skills don’t really mean much and the difference between max simmed vs min simmed is really not that crazy compared to older xpacs.

There’s one racial perk that will always keep me coming back to the Forsaken: Cannibalize. Handy when you run out of potions and don’t want to lose your current food buff.

WIsh they were kept as is, not that I care about world first thingys, but I wanted to see mechagnomes everywhere.

I’m actually lvl 60 as a matter of fact, the forums has not updated me yet:

And yes I do endgame content,I M+, I’m raiding ect. For some reason forums is SUPER slow to catch up to your character’s changes now.

I changed my transmog a week ago and it still hasn’t updated.

They are still doing all that?

Realistically you’ll never fix the faction imbalance unless you just kill the current faction dynamic. Alliance have better racials at this point. It still doesn’t matter, because everyone (yes, even casuals) will eventually trickle over to the Horde. Progression players go there because it’s where all the other progression players go. Other competitive people (PVP, M+) will follow because they want good players to be around. This will eventually trickle down to even the casual players, because casuals won’t enjoy playing an MMO if there’s no one around to play it with, regardless of the kind of content they’re doing.

Racials don’t factor in to it anymore. The only way you could get people to come back to Alliance racial-wise would be to completely gut Horde racials while making Alliance ones extremely OP. This wouldn’t fix anything because the people who have become complacent with the Horde vastly outnumber the people complaining about the faction imbalance, and given the state of the game, it’s likely that they just might leave the game instead.

While BFA didn’t necessarily suck because of the faction conflict, Shadowlands (bar Torghast which I don’t even agree with because I love Torghast) seems to be received much better, and everyone already knows that Legion was liked more than BFA. Both expansions so far, except for some Genn/Sylvanas interactions in Legion, are basically devoid of any faction conflict. Given how the racial leaders (yes, all of them, they all got together at the Frozen Throne this expansion) seem to be fine with buddying up to each other, I don’t think it’s far-fetched to just kill the faction dynamic at this point for PVE at least, and maybe establish a completely new faction dynamic that doesn’t involve the Alliance and the Horde in conflict with each other.

I’m aware that the series is built on Alliance vs. Horde, but things evolve. Besides, you won’t even have Alliance vs. Horde anymore if everyone just switches to the Horde.

How about make it that you can’t freely make characters on tournament realms thus requiring you to use your live realm character. That way if the top end players want to make night elves for MDI they have to maintain that character on live. And like the monkey see, monkey do lemming trickle down effect, you’ll see lower tier players make geared alts on alliance in order to copy the high end players. Effectively replicating what happened on retail.

Yep and yep

It’s like they don’t even know their own history re: vanilla population imbalance. or they simply don’t care because a sub is a sub—it all pays the same.

They completely blew an easy opportunity to lure folks back to the Alli side by 1) letting BElves have blue and purple eyes (should have kept them VElf exclusive), and 2) not giving VElves blonde hair.

Before any geniuses respond with “hurr durr that wouldn’t have worked”, that is literally what worked to balance the population in BC (i.e., they added an attractive race to the underplayed faction).

As it is, VElves being an allied race was/is already a disincentive to play them. They (and the Alliance) needed to exclusively own the classic HElf look, but…Blizz gave it to BElves. :woman_facepalming:

So yeah, now there are no easy options for shifting the balance.

For the Horde!

Didn’t that come I wrath?

I thought humans had perception at launch.
