I like Preach. I find him very entertaining. To be fair, he’s probably spot on about most of his analysis. Keep in mind he’s addressing the 1% or so of players who actually engage in the progression “race”, be it server or realmwide. One thing he doesn’t say though: Most people who play Hunters at the Heroic or higher level favor Marksman because it traditionally edges out Beastmaster for DPS ever so slightly. And who wants to waste a melee slot on a Survival hunter anyway?
If you can get over the stigma of bringing a Beastmaster hunter to a progression raid, you would discover that they actually do pretty well at dishing out multi-target dps with beast cleave and chimaera. I suppose though, that this is if your mythic race progression raid lead doesn’t mind the possibility of your pet getting hung up on some random part of the floor geometry from time to time.
