This is in no way content creator hatred. If they were complaining about specific ones then you might have a point but there is nothing wrong with calling out the tendency a lot of these channels have where they all are saying roughly the same thing to attempt to monetize by droning on about something that can basically be said in 45 seconds.
Though if you want things to hate the content creators on it can be a lot of them (Namely Esfand and Tipsout) have next to zero clue what they’re saying with regards to the game. Tipsout has none of his own information but being somewhat connected can get people who do know what they’re talking about in a live chat.
i enjoy content creators . even silly stuff. serious stuff. educational stuff. artsy fartsy stuff. mog competitions. pvp. classic and retail. i enjoy all of it.

I don’t get how this is any different from getting national headlines via local news channels. A story breaks from one source, and other news outlets carry the report elsewhere. I mean, I actually prefer to get my general gaming news headlines through Bellular’s channel now, because he actually tries to be relatively objective in his reporting.
Given that Classic WoW is not out yet, and covering private servers is potentially damaging to their YouTube accounts, they have to have income somehow. I don’t get the hate at all.
Without touching the discussion of whether they actually have any more insight than anyone else, the problem isn’t the content creator. One person with a good argument can post that and voila, argument is heard. One youtuber with an audience of 500 parrots posts an argument and 400 of those parrots flap in and post the few words that stood out to them, lacking context, and make so much noise no one listens for the good points.
Bear in mind that I’m being at least partly tongue-in-cheek with my addition. If others like watching a youtuber or a twitch stream, I don’t care. Really, there’s not THAT much difference between someone parroting things from a blog (Joana’s leveling strats or Lissanna’s druid strats, for example), just a change of media format.
Well, a little difference. People didn’t spam the forum with the name of their favorite blogger and post links expecting everyone to accept their blogger as more experienced with a more authentic understanding of the game. There’s a weird “internet celebrity” culture these days that sullies it all.
You have to understand those people. They work in fast food, have no aspiration of anything better, and tried to be a content creator themselves to “get paid for playing games”.
They failed because they have no personality, no knowledge, were unwilling to put in the large amount of work it takes, or, more likely, a combination of the three.
