Even MoP has been affected by changes

I’m really a bit surprised it took them this long to change his name.

If they were broadly considered offensive they wouldn’t have been lingering and popular for years. These changes aren’t being driven by social norms.

Oh America and its puritan ways.

Literally unplayable!

Okay Marge Simpson, don’t get too offended over a video game.

Just so happens that “Ziang Ziya” is roughly translated to: Master of Your Domain.

That’s actually an improvement for immersion IMO. I was pissed when I first saw that. Give the NPC a name that fits with the lore and the zone. If they want to be funny make the pun his title.

That’s the thing… it isn’t even clever. It’s barely one step above naming a guy Biggus Dickus.

Players appreciate a good joke now and then but it shouldn’t come at the cost of immersion for a middle-school joke.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the 2 changed paintings were of actual employees, and possibly employees who didn’t want those depictions put in the game to begin with.

I have a very good friend in Highmaul called Biggus Dickus

I thought it was pretty funny he existed in the first place

I am sorry. I couldn’t stop laughing at this. I would suggest Blizzard use this name, but right now that really wouldn’t fly.

… Damn… Biggus Dickus… It’s just, so spot on.
