there’s nothing quite so lovely to listen to than a well turned british accent. like this fine gentleman, who apparently despises the last jedi so much, he made a 3 part video series to discuss it lol

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here as a response to my comment. Please elaborate. Also I hated the last jedi so much that I can’t even watch other people rant about it, so if the clue is in the video I missed it.

i love to listen to british people talk. the accent is great. :sparkling_heart:

perhaps you’d prefer this guy!

Are you assuming I’m a Brit? I’m not, I’m a Finn; I live in a Finnish-speaking country and had classes in Finnish since the second grade and someone would have to pay me to play a game online in Finnish. I want strictly English-speaking servers. I don’t want people to be forced play in English if they don’t want to. There should at least EN, FR, and GR servers to support the biggest populations.

Tell your backwards European brethren to learn English and it won’t be an issue for very long.

Have you ever told a French person not to speak French? Some can’t, others just won’t and it’ll create a splintered community and toxic environment for everyone

Then they can play something else or find another way to spend their free time.

oh yeah, i assumed you were a brit. i was being friendly.

had a friend as a young teen, who spent the summer with her aunt and uncle across the street. they were all former canadians and of finnish origin. they had their own sauna in their backyard and explained to me that it was as much a part of the finnish homestead as an american picnic table is for americans.

she was a good friend. i cried when the summer ended and she had to go back home to canada.

i got the impression that they were providing servers in each of the major language groups?

Thank you, I’ll take that as a compliment. I love English, it’s one of my passions in life and the reason my account is here. I was looking forward to rolling on an English EU server with a reasonable time zone, but now I’m left considering whether to find a NA or oceanic server again.

I’m afraid this choice is going to lead to more people like me and players in the UK to abandon EU servers altogether, which will create a self-perpetuating downwards spiral, leaving Blizzard to pat themselves on the back for foreseeing that there aren’t enough EU players interested in classic to warrant more than a few servers in the first place.

They’re not and that’s the problem. They’re not even enforcing English as the main language like pservers have to avoid confusion.

oh i just re-read it. eek. i thought they said they were, but it said they were not. i missed the not part the first time i read it. globalism is not the best form of governance. think that’s pretty evident at this point.

so yeah. oh my. they’ll probably change their minds on that one unless they are under political pressure to do so. social engineering is a blight on the planet.

Yes, I am very much so aware. A very enlightened decision of them that is bound to contribute to their mastery of the English language.

OK, I’ve missed that part… That’s actually way, WAY worse than I thought.

Just have to make more videos like the Ony wipe Animation.

You can google it its r18 with swearing so i wont link it.

Are you surprised? Most don’t even know the difference between Austria and Australia. Poor lads.

I played on the EU servers for years. Mixed languages doesn’t normally cause an issue due to the fact that most European speak very good English as a second language.
However we did encounter problems in BGs. We was in a Battlegroup of 4 realms called Ruin. One of the realms was a unofficial Italian Server and it caused absolute Chaos in BG’s as the communication was none existent.
Literally 90% of the time they descended into chaos with the English speaking kids just spamming Pizza? Pizza? Pizza? Pizza? Pizza? Pizza? Pizza? for the whole duration.

Austria makes the best dirt bikes in the world and Australia was a prison colony. Where do I collect my prize?

That’s impressive if you’re American, but I would think referencing schnitzel or sausage would take precedence over dirt bikes.

I am American, hail from Argentina.

Those are forgettable, riding a KTM is not.
