I never saw any official Blizzard prediction of the “eventual total number of Classic servers”. Why would a company do that?
That sounds right to me. I think there were 10-12 servers initially. I play PVE, and on day 1, I only had 2-3 PVE servers to choose from.
But they announced 2-4 new PVE servers on day 2 or 3. Because my server was already “FULL”, I re-rolled.
Blizzard added more new servers during the realm transfers. Maybe other times too. Now, months later, there are 35 total, including 10 PVE plus 1 PVE-RP.
