I’m absolutely saying that the concept of a demon hunter is literally nothing like the concept of a warlock.
Other than they both use fel magic and are related to demons, how are they even remotely similar to each other?

Honestly, that sounds like less variety than WoW, at least on the surface. If they’re adding a sixth class and it’s a caster with an undead focus, good on them. Seems they need another class.
Other than having Metamorphosis taken from Warlocks and given to Demon Hunters, not a lot really.
Currently, you would be right. Compare them to 6.0 Demonolgy Warlock, though, when warlocks had Metamorphosis where you would dps in melee range using leaping abilities (like brands) and an 8 yard pulsing fire aura (Immolation Aura), and used demonic fury?
Yeah man no similarities at all.
you’re completely ignoring the part where I specified old DEMO warlocks, you know, the ones that used meta?
transforming into a wannabe illidan, that doesn’t sound like a DH to you?
Affliction Warlocks are basically Necromancers in terms of playstyle, even if the aesthetics don’t match. That could easily be solved with a glyph to change their spells to be more necromantic themed. Which I think they should do, even put it behind an epic questline, but I don’t think an entire class is necessary when we already basically have it.
Dark Ranger? Yes, please ![]()

Actually, you get a lot more choice in your builds. Take a look at their talent selection trees one day. Plus you have a set of 5 specialised “Guilds” that your character can work on for even more abilities (eg the Mage’s Guild Skill Line provides four useful Magicka spells). It’s a very adaptive and far more complex system than WoW.
Don’t forget. The warden class is on ESO’s in game store.
Imagine the outrage if a new class was released in WoW and put on the store to purchase.
Delete current Beast Mastery, rename current survival Beast Mastery, rebuild the now empty spec into a shadow damage ranged class.
Done.
We don’t need a whole new hunter just to add one damage type.
Or is free with a sub.
And GW2 beat them both by years, what’s your point?
Wait, what? They sell access to a class as a premium item? :\
The ESO store is quite bloated. Just saying, just because ESO does something doesn’t mean WoW should.
It’s still a completely different concept. Tanky caster vs super mobile melee. There are absolutely similarities, but the playstyles of old demo and DH aren’t even remotely similar at all.
Other than visuals, how would a Necromancer differ from a Warlock?
And my point was that warlocks were slow, tanky casters that summon minions. How is that different from what a Necromancer would be?
They were, this is just another thread made to dump on WoW and fawn over ESO. While I have nothing against ESO,the WoW hate and slander from people is getting pretty ridiculous and old.
wow does the same thing, you have to own legion (had to? is legion free yet?) to play a DH.
Oh, okay, that’s less bad.
Yes, Legion is free with a sub.
You mean like… death knights do?
Or only available when you purchase an expansion and then do a lengthy grind to get it. Time = money, if you look at it that way. ESO does not financially structure itself the same way WoW does and has to support its ongoing ability to advance the game through store purchases.
