why would it be nice to be in the loop to anything other then there is an issue? All that would do it make the people who think they know coding to start giving “the solution”.
google “ddos mitigation companies” several will be listed. What they do is filter out ddos from actual traffic the ddos traffic gets routed to a dummy server while real traffic is let through.

DDOS can be mitigated and the attack vectors identified pretty rapidly these days , do we know if Blizz is still using AWS or back on their hybrid farms ? AWS is weak on real security,
