Eredar should have been an allied race

But if you were here we could go shopping together.

I’d depend how Blizzard wants to play it. If they want man’ari themselves to be playable, they could easily make it so they are more like normal draenei in the sense that they follow the light (or at least Velen’s ideals now) but aren’t as tangled on it as lightforged. Using their fel power for good.

I mean…if you want to disregard lore entirely. The man’ari eredar are straight evil, non-redeemable ten thousand crimes under their belt awfulness.

It wouldn’t make sense to defeat them then five minutes later they suddenly feel apologetic and want to join those same enemies. Never mind the Alliance or Horde ever accepting them. :zipper_mouth_face:

"Hey, know how we trapped the souls of your friends and family for endless torture? How we wanted to do this to you? How we willingly became demonic for more power, so they we could destroy worlds?

Well.

You beat our leader. So can we be friends now?

Forgive and forget."

I can’t either honestly but there have been strange stuff happen before.

Fair enough. I’d see it as very edgy lol.

I mean. Yeah.

But this would be worse than the Darkshore scenario where the Alliance complains about the risen night elves fighting on the side of the Horde.

Personally I’d want the illidan version

I mean they could easily write a story for it that actually develops the idea and I said, Velen has shown to be Open.

The darkshore thing was simply stupid in all ways because nelves blamed elune yet they were fighting with those who actually did the killing wat.

If orcs went to ultimately “redeem” their race or if we buy that forsaken can still “redeem” themselves I don’t see why other “evil” races can’t.

We already have Lothraxion as an example.

Very edgy indeed.

Night elves have so much emotions so I don’t find it surprising that they flip sides so easy.

I’d make a Man’ari Eredar Warlock in a heartbeat.

Neither orcs or forsaken are joining the Alliance. They are not “redeemed” in the eyes of the Alliance.

Lothraxion is light forged. I figure since this conversation is typically about “we shouldnt have gotten lightforged spacegoat, we should have gotten eredar instead” that merely lightforging an eredar isn’t what is being asked for. Since at that point you are just once again a lightforged spacegoat.

Darkshore is stupid because they fought with those that actually did the killing.

So wouldnt this be stupid because the Alliance are fighting with those that actually did the killing?

I mean, Anduin has forgiven them already. And Orcs did fight alongside humans back in WC3. There’s many races that have been forgiven by both sides (if you want a specific Alliance example, you have them accepting the Belves/Velves) but my point goes about “evil races” becoming playable.

As for Loth, He is LF because he allowed himself to be LF though, the entire process of LF means that if you don’t allow it or believe in the light it doesn’t happen and instead you die which means that he redeemed before being LF.

As for Darkshore. There’s a lot of big difference here. 1 It would not be a random immediate change of mind without any development, which was the big problem 2 It doesn’t mean these would be the same Eredar that directly killed Alliance people, not even those under KJ (which was the side the persecuted the draenei while Archimonde/his side didn’t care).

No, demons are still evil. They are corrupted by fel and have no purpose joining us.

Anduin forgiving them doesn’t mean the Alliance has.

The night elves didnt have a random change. Every eredar was evil. Every eredar made the choice to be evil by accepting the demonic power.

I’m all for binning it. Factionwar can be contained to Warmode and instances.

A Man’ari Holy Priest! MAY YOUR WOUNDS BE HEALED IN FELFIRE!

This is the only thing that would get me to play Alliance.

Id faction change in a heartbeat.

#rolladraenei

Draenei are uncorrupted Eredar.

philosophically, they are different.

draenei are draenei now. they’re pious, even zealous, and are for the most part humble and kind.

eredar are noble, kind of arrogant. they are what highborne elves would have been if they’d have had a society for thousands of years longer than they were able to. magic, science, art. an eredar wouldn’t shy away from fel magic, either.

my idea would be to have man’ari return to their draenei brothers and agree to be purged of their demonic state, but still be displeased with the state of draenei society and form a sort of technocratic-magocracy of their own, maybe in coalition with the highborne night elves of the shen’dralar.

since they would be redeemed man’ari, they’d be somewhat fel scarred still. dingier shades of blue, more twisted horn shapes, maybe taller than a regular draenei.

Why would the Alliance ever accept eredar?? Don’t get me wrong, I strongly feel that they SHOULD have been an Allied Race, but they should have been a HORDE Allied Race. The eredar essentially tried to exterminate the normal draenei, imo there’s zero chance Velen would accept any of them if they started seeking redemption. The Horde on the other hand already has several races among them who have been used by the Legion, and I think they would be much more understanding if a group of eredar showed up and asked to join them.
