I made a tauren warrior on whitemane. I got to level 20 and I still haven’t seen anyone. How do I find groups for dungeons? Do people raid on this version? All AH prices are ridiculous too. Ik gdkp is allowed on this server so I’m assuming that how it supposed to make gold, but as someone who just made a character this just seems like a worse version of anniversary.

With Era, even with the Whitemane and Mankrik being the most populated realm clusters; the Horde population is low.
Across all Era servers it is roughly 70/30. Alliance making up the 70.

For gold, you can take gathering profs people pay a ton for lower level mats as they are in limited supply.
You will get enough gold while farming up pre-bis in dungeons to enter GDKPs and then be self-sustainable to bis.
But yeah, you can’t get to 60 and skip to naxx, need to do it one step at a time on a first Era toon.

Why is no one doing low level dungeons? I went to the other vanilla servers and I have already done wc 3 times. Era just had no one in LFG. I don’t want to go to TBC because I like playing warrior tank. Hopefully they will just let me go to era once it goes to TBC. Leveling on era just doesn’t seem to be alive unfortunately and I picked the more popular server to my knowledge.

They are, go to the zone and level and eventually you will find a group - or make one.
There are less people on Era doing them because many players are currently on anniversary and Era veterans often boost alts.
The server is over 5 years old - if you’d been here 5 years would you be running around doing low level dungeons all the time? It is there just not the primary activity people do.
If you wait till anniversary ends there is likely to be a wave of levelers on Era which will make it easier to find group.

Yeah it’s unfortunate. Anniversary is just more friendly to people starting out. On era I tried to make my own group on only got whispers from people offering to boost me for gold. Anniversary I got that too but also people wanting to join. Seems like a no contest between anniversary and era for players looking to do vanilla content. Hopefully we aren’t forced to go to TBC on anniversary.
There are more people so you will find groups easier, but getting geared at 60 is much easier on Era and the pug quality is of much higher caliber. Also in pvp (esp wsg) almost all the players that queue actually play and make an effort on Era.
Era was full of levelers for a year before anniversary. A huge percentage of wow players just chase FOMO and do whatever is popular at the moment, so you’ll have to wait till Era is vogue again if you want to play with that crowd.
Personally I much rather be where they aren’t xD

Well that was a very rude passive aggressive response insinuating that all the “good” players are on era. Personally I just want to play the game on a casual level. I highly doubt the level of skill in classic vanilla raiding is all that different considering you just press 1 button maybe 2 on every class. During my short 2 days playing on era I didn’t see any pugs for anything on the horde side. I’ll probably stay with anniversary to avoid individuals like you who have some weird ego over vanilla warcraft. I am always surprised how quick I am reminded how horrible the forums users are.

Not really about skill. But when the waves of ‘classic-tourists’ come to Era you can feel the toxicity rise.
Same feeling that was in SoD and I felt in the few days I played anniversary.

Xfour doing God’s work keeping players away from era by being the most toxic ego driven individual on vanilla wow. A game from 2006 meant for casuals XD I’m sure the guy meant era is worse than Anni in terms of new players but go on and keep just thinking ur god complex is warranted because you have been playing on era for 6 years or whatever XD

You just straight told someone who was asking for genuine help on finding groups and making a decision to go to Anni or era by calling him bad and telling him to stay on anni. You’re a legit clown man. you and eyr(and his many alts) are the biggest most toxic gatekeepers of era for whatever reason.

You should try reading what I wrote.
I gave ups and down of Era relative to anniversary and tauren buddy kept talking down on Era and it was clear he wanted things exactly his way and Era doesn’t fit that. So yes, I think he belong belong more on anniversary if he’s not happy on Era.

I told him to go to the zone look for a group, and/or make a group - but if they really wants high availability to go to anniversary.
I even explained why Era doesn’t have a ton of levelers at the moment.
And I stand by what I said.
