Thanks to a dead HC toon and the wizardry of free character migrations, I now have an Ally Pally and a Horde Druid on Grob.
If you see a wee Human Paladin named Casica or a Lil Tauren Druid named Tsataga give me a /wave or a knife in the back, whichever is appropriate.
i would certainly hope 40 people with dull spec would be able to clear MC faster than 16 people on era

Pretty sure they thought that was some sort of flex lol. Mind you we have no AH, limited consumes, and extremely limited world buffs we ration for sapph and KT… so yeah I’d sure hope 40 raiders with full consumes and buffs would clear my faster than a rag tag group of Dad’s in naxx gear who can’t even stack for surgers 
Make sure you get a guild invite to something so someone doesn’t assume you’re a bot and murder you on sight!

I dunno, I was pretty impressed when I joined in 2022 and saw 16 people in MC… and also 16 people online on the entire server. Not a single item on the AH.
And yeah… not a full raid of Naxx gear back then either: https://imgur.com/a/legacy-grobbulus-classic-era-compendium-of-boss-kills-c-2021-2025-yfSLZfC certainly some folks in T3 from before the times when everyone fled through the dark portal. But definitely people in greens and blues too.
But maybe that’s just me. That was way cooler to me than people speed running content and full buff full consume zerging things…. Certainly more impressive than 40 people in Anniversary killing target dummies as you say.

You’ll notice the same forum trolls who show up again and again to try and insult and diminish what you’re accomplishing. Though I understand you’re not doing it to impress anyone. It’s for fun. It’s for the social dynamics and the adventure. But those concepts are completely alien to posters like that guy. So just ignore him.
I love watching the various trolls come and go here. They seem to follow the latest flavor of wow… quick to abandon it for the next one.
Before anniversary came out, this forum category was pretty chill. We still had some trolls for sure but it was generally more friendly. Now that anniversary is here, and since Blizzard didn’t give it its own category, the influx of trolls and people just complaining massively increased it seemed like.
So it goes. We got about a year until they move onto TBC Anniversary anyways… and with that move to a different forum again.
It’s similar reason as to why I’ve always loved smaller realms versus mega realms. With the mega realms, and larger realms, it seems people get stuck in a toxic mindset on things. Ranging from being an a-hole to players who don’t know everything, pushing min max play styles (and getting angry when others don’t) to just absolutely heinous stuff in chat.
Smaller realms have always been more friendly, more engaging, more community focused. You’re not anonymous. Your name means something. You can get blacklisted if you’re toxic. You invest in the community.
A big tangent here, but it’s one of the big reasons I stopped playing anniversary entirely. Mega realms suck. They feel soulless and void, despite having the most players in one place that we’ve ever seen.
Personally I’ll take our 100 person realm over 10,000 person realm any day. I do think 3,000 or so was the sweet spot and I hope they consider moving wow back to that in the future. I’m not hopeful though…

I basically just play Jarl on alliance. Legacy started a horde guild called The Exiled last month to compete against the OG hordies in Requiem (who have BWL cleared and are working up to AQ40 next but need more folks I believe) and a bunch of Exiled players are leveling from scratch right now! I have a 56 Tauren Druid from SoM I never finished so I’m hoping to join and finish that… but I’d be lying if I said I really played horde personally! But it’s a great time to join horde side because of that. And you got two guilds to choose from there!
