ER Roleplay Guild Listing - 05/28/2018

Heroes by Gaslight

GM;
Longstrike

Short Description;
A roleplay guild that likes to immerse itself in all sorts of things, be it open storylines, PVP or PVE. While not a raiding guild when it comes to current end-game, we still enjoy going through older raids for fun.

Recruiting;
Open. Feel free to whisper anyone you see online if you're interested in joining. We don't have an application process, as we feel it'd be easier for direct contact in-game

RP Experience;
All. We have no preferences when it comes to roleplayers, and we're more than happy to help new RPers ease into things a bit better.

RP Immersion;
Voluntary

Contact/PR;
Longstrike, Jote, Mythrii

Blackdawn
GM: Alysdair

Short Description:
An RP guild dating back to pre-Cataclysm, Blackdawn is an RP guild that has in the past combined World RP, Storylines, Events, and PvP to bring emphasis to the World of Warcraft. The guild is headed, themed, and mostly populated by Gilneans (both worgen and human) but accepts any races. WHy? Because the goal of Blackdawn is not to purely focus on Gilneas. The original members (including draenei, dwarves, and gnomes) undertook it as a goal to have Blackdawn not focus merely on restoring Gilneas, but fulfilling the obligations of Gilneas to her allies as well.

Recruiting:
Initial Contact via whispers/mail for temporary slot, followed by Interview for full membership. This allows lower ranking officers to add potential members when the GM is not on so they may ask questions or meet people, until the GM can initiate an interview to pose questions and review the applicant for full membership.

RP Experience:
Blackdawn accepts any skill level of RPer. Those who believe their RP skills are sub-par can receive information and experience to hone their skills.

RP Immersion:
Voluntary, but encouraged. The guild chat is OOC and allows members to talk freely and without need for IC concerns, with a separate channel for IC communication between members.

Contact/PR:
Alysdair, Blakmoore, Phaylia, Kyran, Rosemary

RP Experience: All
We're more than happy to take on new roleplayers. Our roleplay experience ranges from novice to tabletop gurus of decades past. Our only hang up is drama - we'll take a mature beginner over a dramatic veteran, hands down.

RP Immersion: Voluntary
We RP anywhere and anytime, but enjoy raiding, PvP, and random shenanigans, too.

Thanks, Alysdair! Added.
Update: Removed a few guilds that have transferred to other realms. All other guilds remain even if they're inactive. I don't want to make that kind of call, so kept it to confirmed transfers only!
Updated to clean up OP, made it to be shorter.
(A) Not All Who Wander

GM: Ingle

IC PREMISE:
Ingle is a businessman. Some say he is a goblin in disguise due to his somewhat shady business practices, but those rumors are largely unfounded, as Ingle’s magical talent has only manifested in cheap party tricks. Leaving Gnomeregan when the Cataclysm hit, he soon discovered refugees pouring into Ironforge, and heard the same news from other cities. There was profit to be had!

A chain of upscale boarding houses across Azeroth was founded, its suppliers very well-connected and very well-informed. Ingle had read somewhere the quote “Not all who wander are lost,” and thought it the perfect name for his properties, but he did not want to pay any licenses or royalties so he shortened it to “Not All Who Wander”.

Where all the profit comes from in this venture has yet to be determined, but Ingle says that many businesses profit from kickbacks in various forms and that he has broken no laws.

OOC Notes:
So, way back in UO in 1999 on the Catskills (RP) server, we had a guild called “Independent”. It was for those characters who were either lone wolves or just didn’t fit in with any other RP guilds that were available at the time.

Also, it was like Switzerland. It was completely neutral, both for IC and OOC purposes. It was a bridge between all the RP guilds on the server.

And there were no expectations or rules in this guild, other than “don’t be a *%*@@%%!” (OOCly, of course, as many of the members were shady-types). So, if a player behaved badly and didn’t represent the guild well, they got kicked out.

Other than that, they left you the hell alone. You weren’t required to show up or RP with the guild or do anything, really. No events were planned, no raids, nothing like that. You could leave the guild and come back whenever you liked. NO PRESSURE.

So yeah, that’s what I’m going for with “Not All Who Wander”.

It’s open only to the roleplayers of ER.

For the guild tabard, I have chosen the Celtic ring thing in black/gray/white to represent that all character alignments are welcome.

UPDATE 3/6/17:
Ingle has decided to retire in comfort. After seeing the quality of Arithel Starshimmer's accounting practices, he is going to leave the day-to-day running of the business to her. He'll still take a cut, of course.
Added to Alliance list, Ingle!

Thank you! Updated. Welcome to ER!
Is this thread being maintained, with the first few posts reflecting the current active RP guilds on the server?

If not, is there some other place (other than the in-game guild finder) that has a master list of server guilds? As one of the rare few new players, I'm having trouble finding anything beyond this.

Hey there! It’s (mostly) maintained, though I’ve neglected it lately. I trimmed the OP for you down to RP guilds I know first-hand are active. I’ll leave a disclaimer that there could be a small clan or two that is operating under the radar. I hope this helps your journey!

Edit: Actually, looks like I can’t update the OP because the new forums prevent editing of old posts. I’m going to make a new thread instead. Experiment time!
