BG’s are fine … play to win.
@Bazongas
_"You might be surprised how often I call for this to happen in a game and nobody follows. It’s like pulling teeth to get people to do this most of the time."
This is exactly my point. No one uses this system because there is literally no point in using it. Why kick a AFKer out of the BG? They get nothing for staying so no one cares. I bet more players will use this system if they knew AFKers were getting CP at the end of the matches.
This is why we need to promote BGs more, offering a slight loser award brings more players into BGs and more players will start using the AFK system because we don’t want AFKers to gain awards. Right now the system if worthless because there isn’t a reason to use it.
but those are not the players we want in bgs.
I think it’s more along the lines of people not paying attention/not reading, which is why the BG went south to begin with. Pity points isn’t going to IQ boost anyone. Or get people to stop road battling, in fact it may make it worse since they’ll lose less with the pity points.
The CP system is hands down the least effective method of gearing in the current game. Unless you’re running rated, it’s largely trash anyways. If you think you need a 385 to be competitive, you’ve lost already.
I got my 60 conquest daily when I lost av the other day they must have changed something
@Bazongas - Having the players who queued stay isn’t just about winning. Its about fixing what is a broken method. No game should support people leaving mid way through a match, that’s embarrassing poor on a developers end.
The point in giving more awards to a losing team is just an idea to help get players to stay in the EBGs that they created and it also promotes more players to join EBGs rather then boycott them. No one wants to play for hours and earn nothing. Especially in a game where you can earn the same awards in PvE and other ways etc.
(Not directed at you) The argument of having bad players leave is pathetic and selfish. Why should some other player who waited 15mins to get into a game join midway through a losing one? That’s selfish for anyone to recommend that’s a good idea. If a multi-billion dollar company is unable to find a way to keep players in there matches than I am questioning the company at hand that we are paying monthly to play there game for.
you’re right, it is selfish. having bad players leave is good for the team because it means they aren’t feeding kills to the other team, wasting a slot, or sitting in chat being toxic bringing team morale down.
You having an idea what to do doesn’t really have any bearing to 39 other people that most likely aren’t going to be influenced by you, or at least not enough to make a difference.
