Epic BGS: Did this change anything?

Just curious what impact this had on epic bg games, or if it had any impact at all?

So no battleground enemies? Mine still works…

Pretty sure it did next to nothing.
Credit for trying anything I geuss.

Battleground Enemies will still work, but might not show enemy players until the team(s) have filled up/the match has begun.
The thing this changes is getting info on who is in a match before the match starts to avoid people being able to dodge queues. It isn’t going to do anything about queue syncing in general, just their ability to dodge other premades.

Ah. Ya i still get preinfo while waiting behind gates didnt know there were addons/scripts to see info before you even hit enter? I run into premades constantly and i only queue single. Then half my team is premades and are morons compared to the enemy premade.

Yeah I don’t know how the addons or whatever people were using to do this worked, but hopefully it means a few less queue dodges but probably won’t really make a difference in how many groups are queue syncing still.

Would assume no and it may have made the problem worse.

It might stop them from getting info on enemies before joining the match, but it doesn’t really stop them from sending one person in to check out the map and use Battleground Enemies or even Weizpvp to see who they’re fighting and drop queue from there. :man_shrugging:

#TakeThePop2025 in full effect. Blizz is doing a good thing against ppl who dodge ques. I welcome the change!

It had zero effect. Horde is working together to ensure improved leader communication regarding pops.

We play everybody too, no difference for us either.

Is the queue dodge still happening?
Do gates still open with one team having 20/40 players?
That was the target issue for the change they made.

Weiz was updated and no longer works until the gates open up.

BGE and the scoreboard will not show the enemy team until your team is full or the gates open.

So glad they’re busy fixing the important things that makes pvp unplayable. Nothing on the actual design of their trash maps, that would actually take work and we can’t have that.

You are correct, this change had nothing to do with any of those things.

You don’t say?.. It just shows that they’re so disconnected with the issues that should be prioritized rather than what they believe are important.

This change came a bit too late. Now that there are no strong Alliance communities left, the two largest Horde communities (which were notorius for scouting and dodging) have been taking their pops, assuming 4+ groups all get in.

I don’t play epics, so I’m just looking for some info from those that do epics regularly to see if games are still starting out 20v40 because of abandoned queues and the game trying to backfill.
If they are, then this didn’t solve anything.

Every epic is the same, its dependant on the first fight and after that the entire losing side afk’s out. Poor map design and their refusal to fix anything will keep this trend going, as it’s been for years.

They’re clueless.

I’ve found that games are mostly full now. You will still get the occasional 5-15 open spots from the premades requeuing, but its nothing like it used to be where the premades would scout and have 30+ not take the pop.

As Mojo said above, everyone leaving after the first fight is a bigger issue now.
