it’s not the same in all pug vs pugs. Why are you trying to minimize the problem?
The problem does exist, but I’m tired of seeing the same people who complain in this thread do nothing but type, complain, and AFK in-game, waiting for a win to be handed to them. They call any familiar name a premade, even when it’s clearly not. They’re creating their own ghosts. If you’re just going to give up because of the ghosts you create in your head, don’t bother queuing—you’re only adding to the problem. Take that quitting mindset somewhere else and try role-playing as someone who actually sticks it out.
Oh man…I totally agree! Nerf hunters!
What are you talking about? I’ll attack 40v1 if my team isn’t leaving the GY and I never afk. On my healer I often get called as a kill on sight target, on my dps I’ll get a half dozen chasing me near the end. You want people to give up, even seem confused when I don’t. It’s a very Karen attitude to imagine a sleight and treat it like it’s real.
Your response seems a bit all over the place. I’m not saying people should give up, nor am I imagining offenses. The point is to play the game with a mindset that contributes to the team effort instead of complaining or blaming others. If you’re as active and resilient as you say, then you should understand why it’s frustrating to see players give up before the fight is over.
You should choose your words more carefully. People are trained to give up, I only afk if I realize there’s a premade on my team.
You seem to be taking this too personally, as if it’s an attack directed solely at you, while also admitting that you do AFK when you realize there’s a premade on your team. These premades are just organized pugs. Maybe try figuring out how to work as a team with your pug, too—because while premades can be frustrating, it’s even worse to be stuck with quitters.
See, you imagine things and treat them like they’re real. See you on YouTube, K.
Learn to not give up, k
If I stay you guys would claim I’m taking your wins, I don’t want to be part of your exploitation of the game. I’ll fight you but I won’t fight for you. I even potentially risk getting caught up in account action because Blizzard refuses to clarify their position, I never quit because I’m losing but I’m obligated to leave if I think my team is cheating.
premades have ruined BGs since the day they allowed it and will continue to ruin it until blizzard splits it up but wont.
I’ll sign my name to the list because I don’t think it’s fair that I have to write off my entire weekend in regards to BGs… I have zero expectation of a win between Friday and Monday and it’s NOT FUN
This is going to wind up like Diablo 4 where I drop $100 at launch and play for 3 weeks before I turn the game off and uninstall my blizzard app again. So I really hope someone at activision can get off their lazy good for nothing a$$ and fix the gameplay
if you want to get technical, premades are older than BGs and are the reason BGs even exist. before BGs pvp was only wpvp and what would often happen is one person would get ganked and call in his guild to retaliate, the ganker would then call in his own guild and this would escalate into a zone wide wpvp war.
the entire SSvTM brawl is based on this and it was what got the devs to start making BGs in the first place all the way back in vanilla.
So in other words toxicity is its foundation.
Imagine back then at least if you que into a big you are expecting to fight someone back then it sounds like you could just be thrown into it at random PvP server or not.
Sounds like it would suck.
based on the way people are throwing the word “toxic” around lately, i have to conclude that the colloquial definition has shifted from meaning “something harmful to your health” to “anything that upsets you personally”
Well given wow is a video game and video games are an outlet that people use to have fun and not be upset why would anyone doing that want to pursue something in game that makes them upset.
I imagine that’s why premades exist is so that you personally can have fun and enjoy yourself which is the purpose of playing a game but ofc then your opponent is the one now upset.
You see the same names popping into together all the time and you get a good feel for who is in a premade.
Your team has 5 healers, enemy team has 10 healers with Torture / Oca (mia atm) / Auggy / Iccubus / Inemia / Hirav etc etc and you have more than a good chance of facing or being on a premade.
They become boring on either side. I go do my own thing. Smash a few stragglers that wonder to far away from the herd of zombies that they appear to be. Until one of their leaders wise up and go “Go SMSH that UR Dragnz in Fild of STRIffs, send 4!!!”
A couple times I’ve faced a few of their main “leaders/2Ic” on their own and when they start to lose the 1v1 they RUN to their group or the group rushes to them.
I just can’t wait for Cross faction to come in so I can see if there groups implode as the genuinely talented players group together and the others
I agree and have also witnessed you inhibit the exact behaviour your describing. Just FYI.
in pvp you are not entitled to never have a negative experience.
Nor is anyone.
But apparently the “someone has to lose” crowd despises when it comes around for them so much that they have ensured it never really comes around.
That’s why they all have 95+ % win rates. So yeah nobody is entitled to never have a negative experience… not you not oca or anyone.
