when you use phrases like “Jane having a problem does not mean Jeff’s problem does not exist”, of course that is correct. It’s not really possible to debate that. (which is why you said it)

I thought we were talking about the relative problems of you, not having enough “likes”, versus other, actual, more pressing problems with the game maybe?

I’m sure I’m not as good as arguing as you on the internet and you will win, at least by attrition, but in your “thought experiment”, yep, those two examples you listed sound pretty similar.

It’s just that, you saying “hey guys, I don’t get enough likes on the forums” is a ridiculously less important problem (to maybe just me?) than pretty much ANY other complaint about WoW.

Again… “likes” are REAL important to you. That’s cool.

Those lack of “likes” on the forums are maybe #512 on my list.

Essentially, yes. It’s impossible to disprove, or invalidate, Jeff’s problem by offering Jane’s as a counterpoint.

I’m actually highly satisfied with BFA, aside from certain story beats. You know, like night elves deciding to become Forsaken and betray the people they’ve known and loved for literal thousands of years. I’ve been rather outspoken on that subject, and other night elf problems as well.

It is ridiculously less important, yet it is a problem that can be corrected as easily as it is ridiculous. Unless there’s some really garbled code in this new forum, it should be as easy as flipping a switch. Also it’s not about me getting likes, it’s about giving likes.

Not really. Yet still I use them - and frequently - to offer my support/approval on a topic where a response would be little else but spam or a retreading of what has already been stated.

Even the forums are time gated. Maybe their will be mythic + forums where you can only post within a time limit and each week will have a random forum issue like no posts from androids or you must use only safari to post.

Why should I be limited by my use of likes? It’s not as if I’m here to pad my stats. Maybe others do, who knows

New Forum Affixes coming in Patch 8.1, didn’t you read the patch notes? Tyrannical is gonna be a monster when it comes to that ol’ snowy fox’s post count. And don’t even THINK about Explosive.

That’s tragic. I could’ve had almost four times the likes for the same price!
(Seriously though, that’s the vibe I’m getting from this kind of restriction system. If this wasn’t Blizzard I’d have much more hostile opinions.)
